I Can! I Can Stink at 9am! A January TR - 3/8 New TR Link!

Once we got to the front, right as we were about to board the boat, I looked at DH and said, “It’s happening, we’re getting on!” And DH said, “Something smells.” No. No freaking way. But I smelled it too. DS created a bomb

Oh man. Well, look at it this way, you'll never go by that ride without thinking of it. And can torture Calvin for YEARS about it.

Immediately after the ride, we visited that exact same bathroom (the companion restroom if anyone wants to know. Love those so DH and I can tag team!) that we took DS to when he was 2 months. Ah, memories. Also, what's up with pooping in the queue of this ride?:confused3

Hey at least you weren't a rookie mom this time, and had back up clothes and....if it makes you feel better...we used to have MAJOR issues with Eric waiting too long to use the restroom and it causing major issues. At 8 it didn't occur to me we'd need to pack clean shorts and boxers!

Indiana Jones, and the bathroom across from it, holds a special place for Eric and I. LOL!

I do love the convenience that comes along with FP+. Being able to switch times if needed.

Me too!

As we were walking towards the World Showcase, I asked if we could walk around the Canada way instead of through Mexico because, "We never walk that way when we enter”. Of course, I had an ulterior motive by coming this way :ssst: :tiptoe:) and it would give me the opportunity to knock one more thing off my To-Do List.

Way to work it

Sunday, June 14 - Leave after church for Redding CA, about 5.5 hours from home, stay the night

Monday, June 15 - Drive to Winston, OR and do the Wildlife Safari and check in for the night at Seven Feather Resort and Casino. Yes. DH researched this one :rotfl2:

Tuesday, June 16 - Drive to Portland and do Oaks Park Amusement, stay the night in Portland

Wednesday, June 17 - Friday, June 19 - Two nights in Seattle and doing a Giants/Mariners Game, Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass

Saturday, June 20 - One night in Newport, spend the day at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and hoping to check out the Rogue Brewery or at least one of the restaurants

Well I can weigh in on things to do around the M's game and Space Needle but aren't much help other than that. We have been to the Rogue in Portland. I have to admit, I've never even heard of Oak Park Amusement.

I have seen this Cronut pop up on many TR’s and heard great things about it so I knew I had to have it now!

It was hot, sweet and flaky on the inside. It was pure deliciousness. The only downside is that I didn’t think DH would want to share this and he took one bite and instantly wanted more. So I had to share :sad2::snooty:

Smart man but bummer for you

As we were slowly making our way to Italy, we spotted a Photopass Photographer in Japan and you just have to stop if you see one in the World Showcase.

It's a rule!

The cheese and meat plate looks small but it really is very filling for three people. And with the pasta dish, we were very comfortable and even had a good amount to take with us for DS when he woke up. However, DM and I left room for something else that was on my To-Do List, thanks to the DIS.

Sigh, I wish I could convince Jeff to do something like that. He considers that just a snack and definitely not a meal.

DS ended up waking up so I fed him some of the pasta while DM shopped and DH did whatever DH’s do in France. Probably hid somewhere and played Candy Crush. :rotfl2:

Probably

When DS was finished with his food, I went in search of DH who was looking at the wines they were serving and ended up buying three glasses. Fine with me! He must have passed an ultra hard level on Candy Crush :hyper:

I sense an issue here...but if it pays off in wine, that's not so bad

Everyone kept telling me to try the Croque Glace (ice cream in a warm brioche) and because I have no will power and give into peer pressure pretty easily, I went with it. ::yes::

I have yet to try these but it looks amazing!

That was the only stop we made in Italy because we were trying to stick to a schedule of: More booze, Test Track and dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 6:15pm. It was 4:02. Were we going to make this schedule work? I sure as heck was going to try.

Nice schedule!

Speaking of booze, Mexico was our next place but DH wanted to stop inside one of the shops in Germany that sells soccer jerseys so we did that really quick. But DS started getting fussy so I threw a soccer ball at him. Well it was more like lightly tossed. And to make the whining stop, I ended up lessening the severeity of the situation by making him disappear

LOVE it!

Ahhhhh, the Cronut!!! I had this for the first time last week - it was just amazing!!! :cloud9:

Glad you found the cookie that your dad always got

:rotfl: on telling the PP photographer that DH was your brother!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: The look on his face must have been priceless! :thumbsup2

Yum - your ice cream with brioche looked amazing!!! :thumbsup2

You are starting to scare me! Bypassing booze?? :scared1: And tequila no less!

Okay I have called off the men in white coats! This (almost!) makes up for skipping the booze! :rotfl:

I think I had many people here scared :rotfl2:

You see. This is why I don't share my food.

Oh my gosh, so this is OT, but DH SWEARS up in down, that in high school everyone told him he looked Joey from Friends :confused3 I was like, uh I went to high school with you and never heard this once :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Now there are two types of old lady smell:
1. The fresh baked cookies, flowers and talc smell
or
2. The I have too many cats smell.
Which were you? :scratchin

........I think it was a mixture of flowers and 80 year old perfume. And perhaps some undertones of feline odor

There she is! Redeemed! :thumbsup2:drinking1

This is me we're talking about here!

:lmao: You are so cruel! I love it!

He TOTALLY set himself up for that!

This looks like heaven! I want one! Darn why can't I just live in WDW?

It's actually probably best I don't. You know that show My 600 lb Life? Yeah I think that would be me!:rotfl:

Oh my me too!

He's a smart one! :thumbsup2

And of course we all know where he got it from ::yes::

How awesome would that be?! I would buy them ALL! :drinking:

I seriously thought they were and I got so exited. I even had a plan that I would take a 'shot' every five minutes :lmao:

I like your style. Booze, ride, food. :thumbsup2 Better that than booze, food, ride :crazy2: At least for the people riding behind you anyway...

I was going to say, i'll do any combo with these three words. ::yes::

Parenting 101 with Alicia! :teacher:

Should I just make a book??:scratchin More money for Disney :scratchin:teacher:

:lmao: Comedy gold!
[/QUOTE]

MMM that cronut looks amazing! But the ice cream sandwich...WHOA.
My boyfriend is a soccer fanatic too, I have a feeling we'll be spending a LOT of time in that shop (and the one in England) haha.
Love that being covered with soccer balls made DS laugh!

DH loves checking out all the Jersey's in those shops too every time we go! He always wants to get DS but can't justify spending that much for something that he will grow out of in a few months.

Another great update - making me want to be in Epcot right now!

Your PP pics/brother joke reminded me a CM asked DH and I one time 'what our relation was' before asking us to kiss for a photo

If you need a refill on that Berkley Square lotion.. I know someone who lives where it's sold ;)

I didn't know jalapeño pretzels were available in Epcot too.. must go back!

Emma x

I have a feeling that CM had run into a brother/sister traveling together before:rotfl2:

I even checked out the Berkeley Square store online too and it says not in stock. I actually think they discontinued the scent :sad1::sad:

It sounds like your time in WS was filled with all the best things - good drinks and food.

Tutto Gusto looks delicious. I think it gets overlooked for Via Napoli but it seems like a great choice!

The warm brioche sandwich is so on my list. I had no idea existed but it's popping up on TRs everywhere now. How do you even attack that thing? Do you need a knife and fork?

I like the idea of making DS run stairs to wear him out...will have to keep that in mind for next trip.

You're so right, Tutto Gusto totally gets overlooked for Via Napoli. VN has amazing pizzas! But for more intimate times, i'd definitely go to Tutto.

Hmm, I never thought about eating it with a fork, I guess you could.:scratchin They wrap it in that newspaper type wrapping though to use to hold it though, so just go for it without the utensils!

These pictures are adorable!

Excellent update - probably because it involved lots of adult beverages and yummy food.

I need to get back to Tutto Gusto. It's such a cool place.

The ice cream sandwich looks fabulous. Wow - thanks for posting that picture because I didn't even know such a thing existed.

I love the gardens and pond in Japan. Great idea to let Calvin run off some energy.

Thanks MEK!

And you'd probably be interested in the alcoholic ice cream dessert they sell there :faint: Totally want to try that next time.

Can I just come on your next vacation and be a part of your family? I promise to always have a drink in my hand and only shop while tipsy :drinking1

First the cronut, isn't it pure and utter perfection. We have a grocery store by our house that sells them and while not as good as the disney version its nice to have such a good healthy breakfast option so close to home.

I've always wanted to eat at the wine bar but haven't had an opportunity. Did they not allow kids in awake mode? Your meal looks exactly like I would order. Prosciutto and cheese and pasta and WINE. #GiveItToMeNow

The brioche ice cream is on my bucket list too. Just told hubby he will indulge me come September!

Hope the margaritas and Yachtsman work out.

Uh, I thought we already decided long ago that we'd be vacationing together:confused3:laughing:

There is NO WHERE around here where I could find a cronut. I had DH go to one of our local donut shops to see if they sold them and instead they sold him a 'pinecone' (like a huge glazed apple fritter??)

Kids are definitely allowed in there in any mode:laughing: Every time we've visited, DS has always been asleep so we've been able to bring him in the stroller without having to wake him up, thank goodness.

Please do the brioche ice cream! It is amazing but will probably melt faster in September weather!

I can never get tired of EPCOT during the holiday season. All the treats that you got look very appetizing. Calvin has a lot of soccer balls to choose from.

Thanks Bret! So many treats and not a large enough stomach. Always a problem with me :lmao:

Sounds like a great trip. I guess your DH is hoping that he can pay off this trip too with the Casino stays. :confused3 It doesn't work that way every time. :rolleyes1

I told him that was all beginners luck and it was very unlikely that he would win everything. Guess he's going to find out the hard way ::yes::

I liked the cronut and I've had a couple here in town, but I prefer to keep my pastries separate. Croissant or Donut. Now bake some Ham and Cheese inside that Croissant and now you're talking! :thumbsup2

I can't find any in town and that makes me mad. I swear Tulare is stuck in the 1950's and not adapting to food fads!

How nice that they had something special to take your mind off what the didn't have.

Definitely, I was very excited to see these.

It was seriously so funny!

That looks like a great place! I would love it, but sadly I don't think Fran would like it so much.

You would absolutely love it. Although your BV wine is the best i've tasted in a very long time :hyper:

I'd have to go with the Ice Cream Martini. Not a big brioche fan, but anything covered in Grand Mariner, sign me up!

Haha I knew you were going to say that!

First, just wanted to say that we did a trip out to Seattle about 1.5 years ago and enjoyed it. We did the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum and really, really, liked that. We also did a Winery tour and a Brewery tour (since, you know, it's us) and enjoyed that - especially the brewery one (Did it with Road Dogs which was great - actually covered the tour on my beer blog if you have some time to kill and want to read it: http://beerlinguist.com/1/post/2013/10/road-dog-brewery-tour.html)

We did brunch at the Space Needle which worked out well since it includes the price of going up to the top of the tower. Plus just walking around was nice (if hilly). Oh, we also did the night time version of the underground tour which was really cool too.

Did you have the kids with you on this trip?? Hmm. Cause there are so many breweries up there but i'm not sure how kid friendly those places are :confused3 And you have a beer blog?!? :hyper: Totally going to check that out thanks for the link!

Glad you enjoyed the Cronut. For some reason the fact they now have them at Dunkin Donuts makes them less appealing to me - though I am sure having one hot and fresh in Disney makes them much, much better.

Literally everyone on here has had them in their own town, except for me. I'm the very unlucky one. :rolleyes1

Sorry they no longer carry the lotion - that is odd if it was such a good seller. Hopefully you can find something else to smell like that is DH approved :thumbsup2 But that is cool they had the Jaffa Cakes - always nice to get a reminder of a loved one like that :goodvibes

I'll take the Jaffa Cakes any day for sure!

ah, nice to see you got the PP photographer with the ol brother/sister joke :rotfl:

I wonder if the CM's will wise up to this by my next trip. Wouldn't mind trying it out again

... also as evidenced by the fact you kissed your brother on the lips with only a little prompting ;)

:rotfl::rotfl2: See! None whatsoever!

Hope you enjoyed it - we thought they were very good but did get messy fast if it was hot out. Also, props for not being sucked into the option on the menu that included booze (though that ice cream martini is definitely on my "to do" list)

Luckily it was pretty cool out so it didn't melt too fast, even from being 'pressed'. But i'm TOTALLY trying the martini next time, that just sounds way too delicious not to try!

Love the picture of DS with all the soccer balls :rotfl2:

Thanks I was trying to make sure people around us weren't being bothered by his screams so this seemed to do the trick :lmao:

You're right, I'm forgetting that you're not used to humidity. Seriously, you must NEVER go to WDW in August

They've only just added it recently and it seems to be limited quantity since sometimes they don't have them. We have DD everywhere here. There are at least 3 within a mile of my house.

Only in dire WDW need will I visit in the Summer, but for reals never again.

I'm so jealous of the DD locations. I'm to the point where i'll gladly exchange one of our many Starbucks for a DD!

:wave2:This is so great! Love your pics! Thank you for the virtual Disney trip

Aw thank you! :goodvibes

Hi! My name is PiO and I have been completely oblivious!!!!!

29 stinking pages before someone bumps up your PTR and I finally realise that I've completely missed this TR?????
(All my words are completely bleeped out by the Dis Filters!!!!!)

So sorry to read about DH's health scare!!!! And I'm so pleased to read that the MRI was all clear. Is he feeling all better now?

I've been trying to catch up. Love all the food porn!!!

:rotfl2:No worries at all!

He still can't hear out of his left ear which is annoying for all involved, but he hasn't been dizzy. However, he always tells me not to ask him how he's doing regarding the dizziness cause then it makes him think about it and he gets dizzier :confused3 So I don't ask anymore but he hasn't complained!

Great update! Oh my goodness, a cronut and the French ice cream place popcorn:: I'm ready to go back now! :hyper:

Love the Jaffa cake story.

Your Seattle plans sound great :) and it's coming up fast!

How lucky am I to have had a cronut AND a brioche ice cream sandwich in the same day?! :faint:

Thanks i'm really excited about our road trip! And nervous too. Mainly for our old car:rotfl:

Gotta ask - is it better than the Dunkin' Donuts version of the Croissant Donut? I have had that and wasn't too impressed with it, for the price. It's like $2.79, which is more than twice the price of a regular donut, so I usually go with a filled donut, like Boston Creme, when I get a donut at Dunkin'.

Edited to add: I see from reading posts after the one I responded to, that you have not tried the DD one.

I totally agree, i'd go with the regular donuts for those prices for sure and save the big bucks for a GREAT cronut at WDW!

Oh man. Well, look at it this way, you'll never go by that ride without thinking of it. And can torture Calvin for YEARS about it.

Oh you bet I will!

LOL!

Yikes, is this something I have to look forward to as well?? DS has been 'trained' now for almost a month but he hasn't really been anywhere other than to Target, church and the store. This trip will be the first and I know i'm going to have to have tons of back up clothes!

Way to work it

I'm sneaky like that ::yes::

Well I can weigh in on things to do around the M's game and Space Needle but aren't much help other than that. We have been to the Rogue in Portland. I have to admit, I've never even heard of Oak Park Amusement.

The amusement park is really small and geared towards smaller children. It has great reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp but the negative reviews are of folks complaining that there aren't enough 'big' rides for the older kids, so this actually works in our favor! Not Disneyland, but still something for DS.

Smart man but bummer for you

Yep for sure.

It's a rule!

I was seriously just as excited to see a PP as I would have been to spot a character! Hardly ever see PP's around the WS.

Sigh, I wish I could convince Jeff to do something like that. He considers that just a snack and definitely not a meal.

Tell him there's plenty of beer!

I sense an issue here...but if it pays off in wine, that's not so bad

Big win for me, IMO!

I have yet to try these but it looks amazing!

Cynthia you must! :hyper:

Ahhhhh, the Cronut!!! I had this for the first time last week - it was just amazing!!! :cloud9:

Glad you found the cookie that your dad always got

:rotfl: on telling the PP photographer that DH was your brother!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: The look on his face must have been priceless! :thumbsup2

Yum - your ice cream with brioche looked amazing!!! :thumbsup2

Tracy! :goodvibes

I'm SO glad you got to try the Cronut, it is too amazing for words!

The photographer was totally shocked about it! :lmao: I, on the other hand, thought it was so hilarious!

Sorry for all the multiple quotes. My computer has been shutting off randomly without warning so I try to do as many replies before it goes off. :headache: Sigh, Technology. Hopefully it won't do it when I post my next update in a bit.

Somehow I missed your update! Sorry!

I have seen this Cronut pop up on many TR’s and heard great things about it so I knew I had to have it now!

Yes, I've seen this way too many times without being able to taste it now.:hyper:

And then I told him as he was scanning my MB that that was awkward since he was my brother! :rotfl2::rotfl: He was mortified and I instantly told him I was joking and he started busting up. He was lots of fun!

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Good one!

DH did whatever DH’s do in France. Probably hid somewhere and played Candy Crush.

That's a lie!!!

I play Yahtzee. :rotfl2:

Everyone kept telling me to try the Croque Glace (ice cream in a warm brioche) and because I have no will power and give into peer pressure pretty easily, I went with it.

Well, it does sound awfully good.

I just love Epcot.

Me too.:goodvibes

Epcot!

Margaritas and Test Track

We had just finished walking through the Italy and Germany pavilions towards our next extremely important destination – Mexico. Once inside the pavilion, we didn’t waste any time and went straight to La Cava del Tequila. We do not mess around when it comes to alcohol. Much like dinner, when it’s time, it’s time. We do not fight it.

DM scored us an extremely small table (really it was made for 2 people) in the back corner but it was available so we squished in. Side note: DM made a very inappropriate joke about us being Mexican and small spaces but I’ll spare you the details. :rotfl2:

As we were trying to get as comfortable as possible, DS was sitting on my lap when he reached and grabbed the candle on the table! I literally freaked out and slapped it out of his hand when I realized it was not real :lmao: Come on, my freak out was justified. I mean, I looked down and saw this

But once I realized it was battery operated, I let him play with it for a while since there was no room for him to do anything else. Oh and selfies! Always room for selfies

DM got in on the action because well, she was practically sitting on top of us

And this was happening inches from my face. Candy Crushin’ it.

Every time I visit, I always try and order something different. Although I will say, it’s hard to try something new, knowing how delicious that Cucumber and Blood Orange Margarita is. But I pushed ahead and decided on the Jalapeno Margarita

DH went with the Horchata Margarita

and DM went the usual

DS was getting restless (yep, after only being there for 10 minutes, who wouldn’t?!) so I went with the old standby

At one point. the big table across from us opened up so we immediately moved our things. Yay for room! And as soon as that happened our drinks came! Yay for tequila!

Jalapeno

San Angel Inn

Horchata

The Jalapeno was not at all what I was expecting. I was thinking extremely spicy but it had a nice, mellow heat to it. DH’s Horchata was actually very good and something I’d order for sure. DM’s…don’t know cause she pulled a DHS move, gulping her drink in seconds.

Once we were done with our drinks, we headed out but first a few terrible shots before we were out of there

So there is nothing better in this world than drinking tequila and immediately boarding a SIM car to drive you around in one big circle. Nothing. Better.

Our FP window was open so DM and DH went on first while I did a little tweaking for our Yachtsman Dinner. And no, I am not skipping out on dinner like we may have done on a previous occasion :rolleyes1 I wanted to see if there was anyway to push our time back by at least an hour so we wouldn’t have to run after Test Track. Cause you know, tequila going down brings a smile, but coming up is vile. :thumbsup2 And there was plenty of times for me to choose from, so I pushed it back an hour without any problems.

DH and DM came out after maybe 15 minutes and told them we had time to make our way to dinner. Where the reply was, “Wait what time is it anyway?” and “What time was dinner originally?”. :headache: They should be so grateful I can read the time on my phone and modify reservations ::yes::

And here’s their ride photo

Then it was my turn to ride while DH volunteered as tribute. I was super excited cause I love this ride! But also, this would be my first time experiencing it at night.

DH and I designed our vehicles.

Yep, different in every way possible

And our ride photo

I loved riding at night! I think I mostly like not being blinded by the sun when the doors open to the outside section, that’s a major plus. And even though I knew we weren’t going faster than any other time, it felt like it because of the darkness. Loved it!

Those margeritas look awesome!! Glad you were able to move your dinner back...lucky that other times were available!!

Epcot!

Yachtsman Steakhouse

By the time we exited TT, it was 6:20. Thank goodness I had changed the time of our dinner!

There really wasn’t enough time to do anything other than heading towards the Yacht Club so that’s what we did. And I took a quick, terrible picture along the way

Not surprisingly, we arrived with 15 minutes to spare but checked in anyway

They were not busy at all and got seated right away and given menus

For an appetizer, DH insisted on the cheese plate, cause I guess we didn’t have enough cheese during our lunch :confused3 so we put that order in right away and the server came back with some bread for us to munch on

That roasted garlic is something else. It is so wonderful!

Our server asked if DS wanted to have his own cup of water, so he brought one with a fun little straw! Never considered getting DS his own cup to entertain him. And then it wasn’t until right after this picture was taken, that I realized why we hadn’t done it in the first place

All over the floor. :headache: And it was a full cup too, nothing that I could clean up with our napkins but magically, two servers came over with towels and it was cleaned up immediately. Kind of weird how quickly that happened actually. Like there is some device in the childrens cups that goes off when it hits the floor or something :rotfl2::scratchin

Not too much longer after that, our cheese plate came

All of these were delicious, but my favorite was the Jasper Hill Landaff with the honeycomb accompaniment.

For our entrees, DM and I ordered the New York Strip Steak with the White Cheddar Twice-Baked Potato

It was cooked perfectly, oh my goodness. And the Peppercorn Brandy sauce was amazing!

I was totally into my dish that I forgot to take a picture of DH’s Prime Rib with Horseradish Cream and Sweet Potato Casserole. As delicious as my plate was, DH’s was PHENOMENAL! Would highly recommend this. I ate all of his sweet potato since he’s not a huge fan and thank goodness for that.

One regret during this meal. Not ordering the creamed spinach. The thing is, DH and DM don’t really like it and I wasn’t terribly hungry and knew it would go to waste. But it seriously the best side that they have on the menu so don’t hesistate to order it when you visit. Please. For me. Do it.

Because we were going to have to walk through Epcot to board the monorail, we decided to skip dessert here and grab something in one of the Pavilions but here is the Dessert menu for those interested

When we left the Yacht Club, it was FREEZING! And poor DH had to give up his sweater as a cover for DS. And DH was in shorts and a short sleeve shirt. It’s crazy that it was burning up a few days prior and now it was full on Winter weather. As much as I wanted to hang around Epcot and explore a bit, I knew we needed to get back quick.

Once we got into Epcot we spotted a lonely PP Photographer on the bridge so took a quick Mother Daughter shot

Walking through the UK Pavilion is just so nice at night

Taking some night shots on the way out

DH was walking ahead of DM and I (Cause he’s such a fast walker, right @Pinkocto  ) so he was able to grab a few solo shots with the PP photographer at the exit

And then I popped in from behind

This would have been cute without that pesky stroller in the shot.

Ah, there we go!

But what is pretty funny, I thought the whole time DS was sleeping but when I zoom in….

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

We made it back ‘home’ in no time and I got to take another bath and read! Guess I was making time for relaxation on this vacation after all!:faint:

I took a picture later that night (11:16pm to be exact!) of the deets for the next day

And we were having a DIS meet up!!!

:jumping1:

Yes, I've seen this way too many times without being able to taste it now.:hyper:

Don't you hate that?! Apparently you can get one at Dunkin Donuts and I know you have tons where you live.:thumbsup2 Haven't tried it from DD, but I can pretty much guarantee that Disney's is better :teeth:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Good one!

:rotfl2: Thanks! I'm pretty proud of myself.

That's a lie!!!

I play Yahtzee. :rotfl2:

Oh Mark :sad2:

Well, it does sound awfully good.

This is another must try for you when you get back to WDW. Might as well make you a list now!

Yep, it's my favorite park. Don't tell anyone, I may be banned from the DIS.

I kind of wish I carried around a bag of soccer balls with me for when he decides to throw his fits:scratchin

Those margeritas look awesome!! Glad you were able to move your dinner back...lucky that other times were available!!

You're fast, you snuck in between updates!

When we showed up there was tons of tables available for Yachtsman! Good night to dine there for sure.

Mmmm, La Cava! I can't get past the Blood Orange margs. Yummy and strong!

Test Track at night is the best!

Your dinner looked amazing! I love those onion rolls and the roasted garlic. Yum!

LOL at Calvin with his eye open!

Jill in CO

Come on, my freak out was justified. I mean, I looked down and saw this

Yeah, I can see where that would make you do a double-take!

DM’s…don’t know cause she pulled a DHS move, gulping her drink in seconds.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

So there is nothing better in this world than drinking tequila and immediately boarding a SIM car to drive you around in one big circle. Nothing. Better.

Ah, Disney World. Enabling drunk driving since...whenever Test Track was built.

Where the reply was, “Wait what time is it anyway?” and “What time was dinner originally?”.

:sad2: Well, at least that means they trust you to have the answers.

And even though I knew we weren’t going faster than any other time, it felt like it because of the darkness. Loved it!

Cool!

For an appetizer, DH insisted on the cheese plate, cause I guess we didn’t have enough cheese during our lunch

Can you ever have enough cheese?

For our entrees, DM and I ordered the New York Strip Steak with the White Cheddar Twice-Baked Potato

Looks awesome! I hope I get to try Yachtsman someday.

This would have been cute without that pesky stroller in the shot.

Ah, there we go!

There's a handy logo for you!

We do not mess around when it comes to alcohol
Admitting it is the first step. :rolleyes1

Side note: DM made a very inappropriate joke about us being Mexican and small spaces but I’ll spare you the details. :rotfl2:
:rotfl2::rotfl: I can only imagine the type of TR you could write just using her one liners.

Come on, my freak out was justified. I mean, I looked down and saw this
Well, he'll only do it once...

And this was happening inches from my face. Candy Crushin’ it.
Looks intense. Must be one of those levels with that stupid chocolate.

DS was getting restless (yep, after only being there for 10 minutes, who wouldn’t?!) so I went with the old standby
Nose picking pictures! :rotfl:

At one point. the big table across from us opened up so we immediately moved our things. Yay for room!
Woohoo!!! Now DM doesn't have to sit on your lap!

Yay for tequila!
I just had to quote that, because yeah!!!

DM’s…don’t know cause she pulled a DHS move, gulping her drink in seconds.
Um... hey, DM, that's a margarita. Not a shot. Savor it a bit next time!

So there is nothing better in this world than drinking tequila and immediately boarding a SIM car to drive you around in one big circle. Nothing. Better.
Um... what about beer, beer, orange slush, beer, MS:orange, beer during Illuminations and THEN boarding a SIM car to drive you around in one big circle? :rolleyes1

I wanted to see if there was anyway to push our time back by at least an hour so we wouldn’t have to run after Test Track. Cause you know, tequila going down brings a smile, but coming up is vile.
:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: I'm glad you could push it back. Because I'd hate to have you experience the vile tequila.

DH and DM came out after maybe 15 minutes and told them we had time to make our way to dinner. Where the reply was, “Wait what time is it anyway?” and “What time was dinner originally?”. :headache: They should be so grateful I can read the time on my phone and modify reservations ::yes::
You know what... that makes it easy. They know you've got it and they trust you to handle it. Better than you thinking it is one thing, and then while you think your DH is playing Candy Crush, he's in there screwing up ADRs or something.

That was actually my biggest fear as a trip planner for our group. Having DW or MiL or somebody log in, not really knowing exactly what they're doing and screwing our plans all up!

DH and I designed our vehicles.

Yep, different in every way possible
So which one was which? I'm guessing DH was the bottom one? That's more like something I'd make. Always good on power and capability!

I loved riding at night! I think I mostly like not being blinded by the sun when the doors open to the outside section, that’s a major plus. And even though I knew we weren’t going faster than any other time, it felt like it because of the darkness. Loved it!
The guy sitting next to your DH looks thrilled. :rotfl2:

32 oz Porterhouse for 2? For 2? I don't need any help, thank you very much!!! :rolleyes1

All over the floor. :headache: And it was a full cup too, nothing that I could clean up with our napkins but magically, two servers came over with towels and it was cleaned up immediately.
:headache: Yep... I feel your pain. I think Disney servers just have a sixth sense. They've served enough drinks to enough kids that they know the odds of a spill happening at a certain table. :rolleyes1

Because we were going to have to walk through Epcot to board the monorail, we decided to skip dessert here and grab something in one of the Pavilions but here is the Dessert menu for those interested
Good idea. Plenty of good options along the way. And you can make a little more room for dessert on the walk.

DH was walking ahead of DM and I
Well, your DS has his warm clothes! He cant stay warm creeping through the park at a snail's pace!

so he was able to grab a few solo shots with the PP photographer at the exit
Always entertaining. :rotfl2:

This would have been cute without that pesky stroller in the shot.

Ah, there we go!

Nicely done! :thumbsup2

And great picture.

But what is pretty funny, I thought the whole time DS was sleeping but when I zoom in….
That is almost kind of creepy zoomed in like that. :rotfl2:

Come on, my freak out was justified. I mean, I looked down and saw this

Totally justified. And all the more reason to make sure to document the upcoming tragedy on film before ensuring his safety. :) (Yeah, yeah I know the photo was after... at least I HOPE it was after).

You know, La Cava should be Ohana since it means "Family" and clearly at La Cava you get very close to one another.

They should be so grateful I can read the time on my phone and modify reservations ::yes::

Sadly, someone has to be the responsible one.

Just reading through the menu the 18% service charge caught my eye. I know this isn't specifically saying tip, but I also know they tend to look for 18% gratuity. And tipping based on % (although the most common) just makes no sense to me. Like carrying a $100 steak as opposed to a $10 steak is somehow more work? I don't get it.
However... well played having DS "spill" all over the floor. Make them earn that tip, lol.

But what is pretty funny, I thought the whole time DS was sleeping but when I zoom in….

:rotfl2:... that was actually kinda creepy.

Ah A DISmeet the next day???? I've heard of those.

Mmmm, La Cava! I can't get past the Blood Orange margs. Yummy and strong!

Test Track at night is the best!

Your dinner looked amazing! I love those onion rolls and the roasted garlic. Yum!

LOL at Calvin with his eye open!

Jill in CO

I actually wouldn't mind an extra shot in the Blood Orange one because it's so sweet ::yes::

I loved it! Seriously that's pretty much the only time i'll ride it from now on, it's the best!...well unless there's like a 5 minute SB wait in the day, then of course i'll have to suck it up and ride it.

My son creeps everyone out :rotfl:

Yeah, I can see where that would make you do a double-take!

I was legit scared!

Seems to be the norm with her.

Ah, Disney World. Enabling drunk driving since...whenever Test Track was built.

:rotfl2::rotfl:

:sad2: Well, at least that means they trust you to have the answers.

That's a lot of pressure. Cause if I mess up, it's the end of the world.

Can you ever have enough cheese?

You know, that was a dumb thing for me to say. Cause you're absolutely right. You can never have enough cheese!

Looks awesome! I hope I get to try Yachtsman someday.

If you like steaks, this is your place. I'll let you know when they start wrapping their steaks in bacon, that will get your butt there quicker!

There's a handy logo for you!

Is it bad that my photo looks better without DS? Does that make me a bad parent??...cause I may do this again:rotfl:

Admitting it is the first step. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad I got that off my chest.

:rotfl2::rotfl: I can only imagine the type of TR you could write just using her one liners.

Not kidding, half of the stuff we say can not be used on this board. And it's not that it's even PG-13, I just don't want to offend anyone. And I want to keep my angelic vibe I give off to you all :littleangel:

Well, he'll only do it once...

:rolleyes1

Looks intense. Must be one of those levels with that stupid chocolate.

That's the one and only time I hate chocolate. Those things are annoying.

Nose picking pictures! :rotfl:

This wouldn't be a Leshaface TR without one!

Woohoo!!! Now DM doesn't have to sit on your lap!

...now I can breathe:duck:

I just had to quote that, because yeah!!!

It is definitely quote worthy!

Um... hey, DM, that's a margarita. Not a shot. Savor it a bit next time!

It is small enough to be a shooter though :thumbsup2

Um... what about beer, beer, orange slush, beer, MS:orange, beer during Illuminations and THEN boarding a SIM car to drive you around in one big circle? :rolleyes1

:worship: Mind blown :worship:

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: I'm glad you could push it back. Because I'd hate to have you experience the vile tequila.

No one likes 'repoed' tequila :rotfl::crazy2:

You know what... that makes it easy. They know you've got it and they trust you to handle it. Better than you thinking it is one thing, and then while you think your DH is playing Candy Crush, he's in there screwing up ADRs or something.

That was actually my biggest fear as a trip planner for our group. Having DW or MiL or somebody log in, not really knowing exactly what they're doing and screwing our plans all up!

Yep didn't think about that. I can't at all see DH use his phone for actual productivity.

So which one was which? I'm guessing DH was the bottom one? That's more like something I'd make. Always good on power and capability!

Again, another joke I could have used but won't :rolleyes1
The guy sitting next to your DH looks thrilled. :rotfl2:

Didn't even notice! :lmao:

32 oz Porterhouse for 2? For 2? I don't need any help, thank you very much!!! :rolleyes1

Uh, I really want to see this! popcorn::popcorn::

:headache: Yep... I feel your pain. I think Disney servers just have a sixth sense. They've served enough drinks to enough kids that they know the odds of a spill happening at a certain table. :rolleyes1

Still wish they would give me the towels so I can clean it up.

Good idea. Plenty of good options along the way. And you can make a little more room for dessert on the walk.

Oops didn't even mention the no dessert. Because we came through the IG and trying to get to the monorail quickly, that means our only options was the UK and Canada and there are no good options here except for the candy at the UK that we had bought earlier that day.

Well, your DS has his warm clothes! He cant stay warm creeping through the park at a snail's pace!

Uh, that is so rude. It was more of a sloth's pace. They're cuter :cutie:

Always entertaining. :rotfl2:

His PP photos get better!

Nicely done! :thumbsup2

And great picture.

Thank you!

That is almost kind of creepy zoomed in like that. :rotfl2:

Oh no, it's full on creepy :magnify::rotfl2:

Totally justified. And all the more reason to make sure to document the upcoming tragedy on film before ensuring his safety. :) (Yeah, yeah I know the photo was after... at least I HOPE it was after).

I actually thought that the Crows burning down La Cava del Tequila would make a fantastic story for my TR and then I thought the loss of all that booze would put a damper on things...:rotfl:

You know, La Cava should be Ohana since it means "Family" and clearly at La Cava you get very close to one another.

:rotfl: That's a good one!

Sadly, someone has to be the responsible one.

One day, i'll get to be irresponsible. Here's to hoping!

You're so right! Now that I think about it, DS left quite the mess under the table so there Yachtsman :snooty:

:rotfl2:... that was actually kinda creepy.

Totally creepy. Way to the end the update right?!?

Ah A DISmeet the next day???? I've heard of those.

My good sir, you've had many of these encounters and i'm fully jealous :worship:

Yummy margaritas! And I would have had the same freak out with DS grabbing the candle - but at least it provided some entertainment!

I love the idea of Test Track at night! That would make it so much more fun...and the margaritas probably didn't hurt the situation.

Delicious dinner. That steak looks perfect!

Great shots of Epcot at night. Love the one of you and your mom!

It sounds like a fun MK day coming up! And I see a BOG for 2! Date night!

I was so scared in that moment when he picked it up! Had my margarita been in front of me at that moment I realized it wasn't real, I would have downed it instantly!

TT at night is the best. It's seriously the only way to ride it in my book now.

OH MY GOSH! I never noticed the 'for 2' part! Yeah, cause all four of us went  But we didn't have any problems when we checked in! That is so funny that I never noticed it before:faint:

Great updates! The Cava needs to be a bit larger. There are a lot of great drinks there and not enough space for everyone.

So glad you were able to change your ADR. That dinner at Yachtsman looks amazing. I really need to go try the steak there at some stage.

That candle is very real looking. I knew it wasn't real but I still looked twice at the pictures.
