I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

I was behind a few updates, but I am caught up now.

I haven't seen many pictures of Coronado Springs. I still haven't, but thanks for sharing the ones your parents have. ;)

I'm not a parade person either, but being roadblocked and being "forced" to watch MSEP is not a bad thing. I enjoyed looking at the pictures, and I thought the one of Cinderella in her carriage was particularly stunning!

What an awesome spot for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. I love, love, love Celebrate the Magic. It is brilliant and makes me smile!

Wow!!! AMAZING pictures of Tink!!! I haven't really seen her fly. My first Wishes, she was rained out. My next we were too far away (at the Top of the World) and in Jan, I just didn't notice her, or it was too cold and she didn't fly.

:tinker:

Wonderful pictures of Wishes!!!

Looking forward to your next update.

:thumbsup2

Yeah I still haven't been to coronado springs.

I would rather be stuck by a parade than in a traffic jam.

Thanks, I really thought I got some good shots.

Nice pictures of Wishes. I still love that show - but time for an update. Unfortunately, I bet we wait for WDW 50th for a new show. Hope they do what they do at DLR, which is combine the castle projections with the fireworks into a single show.

Yeah I enjoy it too but would love an upgrade. Hopefully the 50th does that.

Really enjoying all your great photos! The wishes photos are amazing! I agree with you on the parade, I prefer spectro and would love an update to something like Paint the Night. And remembering to avoid the parade or be on the right side of it when you are trying to get around the park is often a challenge.

That's great that your parents showed up and surprised you!
Love the colors of Sydnee's tutu!!! Its really cute!

Thanks!

I would love a paint the night style parade at WDW.

It was a nice surprise! And Sydnee was going for a Mickey theme with the tutu colors.

I love all of your Wishes pictures!
You got great pictures of Tink - I'm super jealous, I've never gotten a decent Tink picture. Awesome!

Those are my first good pictures of rink so I was very happy with them.

Its a rainy morning at AK

I set my alarm for like 6:30 AM I think because I wanted to do some spectating for the 10K but of course I didn't get up right away. I don't remember exactly when I got out the door but it was around 7:00AM I think. For those unfamiliar with the WDW 10K it starts in the same spot the 5K does, and ends up passing by the Epcot resorts. Since our room was right along the course I had to spectate. I was watching the ending of the 10K by the time I got out there but there still were a good amount of runners. One major downside not just to spectating but running was that it was raining. I was really hoping to see someone I knew while I was out but it was a long shot. To help I did wear my Disboards shirt. The rain wasn't terrible but it was enough to be annoying. After probably 20 minutes standing there, I saw none other than @SarahDisney . I don't have any pictures but we chatted for a little bit before she was off to finish her 10K. I was glad I found someone. Pretty close to Sarah, runDisney celebrities Kimberly Markey and Perfectly Goofy gail ran buy in their amazing costumes. I waited until the very end of the 10K and watched the balloon ladies and the golf carts pass by. When they were all gone I went back to my room as we had another busy planned at my favorite park!

Animal Kingdom!

Avatar Construction!

My parents were meeting us there. They of course beat us as our bus never seemed to show up. Anyways we got there around 9:20AM. The rain had stopped and crowds were low so we got some pictures!

My parents were our bag holders. We headed towards a favorite of mine next. Its Tough to Be a Bug! I love the Tree of Life and all of the
details that were carved into it.

Red Card!

Then we went into the show! It was great as always. When we came out it started raining again which was a theme of the morning.

We stood waiting out the rain in the King Louis and Baloo meet and greet.

Up Next: The rain stops finally!

I love that your parents showed up and surprised you all! What a fun family!!
Also, your pictures of Wishes is some of the best I've ever seen!

It was awesome to see you out on the 10K course - thanks for coming out and cheering!! (And by the way ... I totally noticed the DISboards shirt ... I thought it was you even before I noticed the shirt, but the shirt just confirmed it for me)
And it's pretty awesome that you saw Kimberly and Gail running past too. Their costumes were pretty fun ... we saw a lot of them during the race and actually got to chat with them about the costumes a bit, which was nice.

I have to admit ... I've never really paid a lot of attention to all the details on the Tree of Life. I know that there are a lot of amazing carvings and little details, but I never pay attention to them. Your pictures are amazing, though, and now I know there are definitely things I want to look for next time I'm there!

Yes it was so nice to meet you. I wish we would've gotten to see each other again over the week.

I follow Kimberly and Gail on social media and stuff so it was cool seeing them. The 10k was the only race I saw them though.

The tree of life is full of details. I love just sitting and looking at it. I could sit there for probably an hour and just listen and look around.

Holy Smoly - those are GREAT magic shots! Cool that you got your Grandma and Aunt to participate.

I'm with you that I love DAK - though it'll likely always come in second to MK to me. I've always wanted to spend an hour or two spotting all the animals on the tree of life. WE never seem to have enough time for this park - even when we spend two days there, and it's been a few years since we did that.

But - ugh - I hate DAK in the rain:

Yes the photopass photographer that we got there was probably the best of the entire trip.

I understand about MK being up there, it's my number two. MK and AK I could spend multiple days at each.

Most of my time looking at animals on the tree is done while going through the it's tough to be a bug queue.

AK in the rain is not fun and we almost bought ponchos but after about 30-45 minutes of waiting for the rain to stop it did and it didn't rain the rest of the day so we were ok.

Finally caught up (I wasn't getting notifications for some reason)! Really enjoying your trip report. The Osborne lights are so wonderful and powerful (that moment when they turn them on is breathtaking) and I am sad to see them go, but so happy I was able to see them three times this year. Great photos of them!

How lovely that your parents were able to surprise you! That is really, really cool. I'm a bit jealous of your 5K character photos, we didn't stop for any characters during that race. Great photos with your sister! And especially love your Tink photos - I have been an AP holder for years and years and we just have never gotten around to seeing Wishes (I know, I know) just because we're typically in DHS or Epcot at night. So seeing all your fireworks and Celebrate photos was new for me, too!

Kimberly and Gail were actually in my 10K corral maybe 10 feet away from me at the time, but I didn't realize it was them until later! As such, we never got to talk to them. I also ran into them in DCA during the Star Wars Half last year when they were dressed as Tink stormtroopers which made me crack up even though I didn't know who they were! And especially dig your Pascal magic shots - he's one of my very favorites. Looking forward to the rest of your report!
