I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

I didn't know they had the train parked for photo ops - that's really cool!

Lots of great character/picture stops in the second half. I love all of your pictures!

Congrats!!

I knew I had seen pictures of it out in previous years so I had to stop.

Thanks!

Congratulations! Totally understand about regretting not stopping for Genie. I'd have felt the same!

Thanks! Yeah I won't pass up genie next time!

Congrats on the half, it looked fun.

Thanks!

Way to go!!

Thanks!

Congrats on the half finish and getting that awesome bling!!! Well done. Love the Scrooge pic. He's on my wish list for a shot during a run.

Thanks! I was really surprised Scrooge didn't have a line at all!

Awesome. I didn't realize there were SO many unique meet and greets. No wonder Disney fans love these things.

Still not gonna do one - though.

Yes there are tons of awesome characters. You could maybe do a 5K since it isn't timed.

:cheer2::worship::cheer2:

Awesome job running the half!!!

It is great that there are so many interesting things to look at and fun picture opportunities while you are running.

I can only imagine how exciting it is to run in the Magic Kingdom. I loved the toll booth arch all lit up. And the beautiful castle!

Lots of admiration for everyone participating in each of the races... and all of the races!

::yes::

Thanks!

These are the only running events I do mainly because of the course entertainment and it's an excuse to go to WDW.

Love your picture with the mime from Tangled! AWESOME!!!!!!

Thanks!

Congratulations!! Your TR has definitely inspired me and I am sure many others!!

Thanks!

Congrats! It sounds like you had a strong finish :) I love that they had the train and the parade floats out for photos. I love things like that almost as much as the characters.

Thanks! I did finish quite well, no big issues really.

I loved the floats and train as much as the characters as well.

So many great character stops! Congrats on your finish!!

When you saying wanting to go bigger for next year, what are you thinking? Eventual marathon/dopey/goofy?

Well I'm thinking goofy or dopey. I don't want to pas up the 20th anniversary of the half and I really want to do the full so.

I have to show off my medal!

Once I was all cleaned up I was ready to hit the parks because I had to show off my medal of course. I was also wearing the "I did It!" shirt I bought at the expo. We walked through international gateway but we had to go all the way to the front to meet my parents and head to our first FP.

World Showcase was empty except for the runners who had just finished and were walking back through Epcot to go to their resort. Once we got towards the front I had to make a pit stop for some Starbucks! Nothing beats Starbucks in Disney. I also picked up the Epcot Starbucks mug.

We sat on some benches over by inventions while we waited for my parents. I believe they were over near Test Track because they road already or something. Sorry I don't know what they did that morning because I didn't write it down.

Anyways I called my grandpa back home and talked to him. Then it was time to start heading towards Spaceship Earth our first FP of the day. Oh I almost forgot! It was my Dad's birthday! So my mom and grandma went to get him a birthday button even though he didn't want one. The CM who wrote it out made it extra special because he didn't want one and put tape over the writing so he couldn't erase it.

Doesn't King Henry look thrilled!

After we got my dad to wear his birthday button we headed into the FP line for Spaceship Earth. My mom was able to get FPs for her and my dad at the same time as mine.

I love this ride. Its just one of those instant Disney classics.

This would be a great costume for a rundisney race or halloween.

My dad and I rode together.

After our great trip through history and into our future on Spaceship Earth we had some time to kill before the next FP, so we headed into MouseGear.

My dad finally brightened up and accepted showing off his birthday. We made him take a picture with the birthday hat.

After looking around in MouseGear, i don't believe we bought anything really, we headed back outside and sat on a bench killing some more time. My sisters and I decided to head to Mission Space no one else wanted to go though.

I don't have any pictures from inside but we only did the green version. It was a nice ride. I was the engineer i believe. We ended up getting some photopass photos after.

We headed back to the place the adults were sitting and it was almost time to for our Test Track FP.

My mom sat out this one because she had already ridden. So off we went. I believe Sydnee and I designed this vehicle.

Test Track is my favorite ride at Epcot. I love designing the car and then "testing" it.

My dream car, a Corvette.

And a photo of a 2016 Chevy Silverado. My Grandpa has a red 2014 one.

And that is where I will leave you. I hope everyone has a good rest of their weekend.

Up Next: Grandma try the Beverly...

I totally agree that Starbucks at Disney is the best! I love the cup design, it's my favorite coffee cup design ever. And the mugs from each park are pretty awesome too!

I love your dad's birthday button! It's perfect!

Test Track is one of my favorite rides at Epcot. Mission Space, on the other hand ... I will never go on that.

Yes I love the design as well! I got every mug except AK because I forgot to even stop in Starbucks there plus it was raining all day.

He really didn't want it at first but he accepted it.

I've never done orange mission space but green isn't bad at all.

Adorable photopass pics of you and your sisters! My siblings and I did a few "kids" only Disney trips when we were in our 20s. Great memories and fun times!! You guys will definitely remember this vacation, and the family time spent together, fondly, I'm sure :)

Thanks! Yes we will definitely remember this trip forever.

1 - KING HENRY....that's awesome!!

2 - That last pic of you and your sisters is fantastic!

3 - Congrats on your 1/2!

awesome finish and great pics in the half! I didn't even see scrooge or genie out in the 1/2 and was so bummed because my brother did, but luckily scrooge was out at the full with no line too. Yes, those cones are no joke! Good job again!

Grandma try the Beverly...

After Test Track We had a good amount of time before we had to be anywhere else so we headed for a favorite place of mine. Club Cool! Since my Grandma and Judy hadn't been to Club Cool before we had to get them to try the Beverly. Only downside. I don't have a pictures of their reactions. Yes I know thats my fault oh well next time. I do have a photo of the choices though. Since I stopped taking notes on this day because I thought oh I will remember this no problem yeah no so I am going off of my Check Ins on Swarm the Check in app.

Next we headed off to meet with a little purple Dinosaur that loves to use his Imagination! Figment! Of course it was a walk on, actually we probably waited five minutes but still not bad at all.

So I guess this is the only photo of the ride I took. My fault once again. By the looks of my Check In it was then time to head to our third and final FP. Epcot Character Spot! I needed character pictures with my bling!

So this will be a mix of my photos and photopass photos.

Mickey proposed! Well Minnie wasn't very happy.

Continued from previous post...

After saying Hi and Goodbye to Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy with lots of hugs, and smiles we headed across the way to a new character we have never met before. Baymax!

They made us take off our We're Celebrating Pins because they could possibly stab Baymax. I don't know how they would but whatever.

Syd get out of my Baymax hug photo!

Once we said goodbye to Baymax my Mom told us to come around the corner and get photos with Chip and Dale because they were meeting so of course we did.

There was a foreign family before Syd and I and they had a disabled daughter. Chip and Dale kept trying to engage with her but the daughter wanted nothing to do with it. Then the parents kept trying to pull her back in but she seriously didn't want it. Then she finally decided she would take a picture except then she started getting too personal with Chip and Dale like grabbing their noses and stuff. The CM tried to tell her to not do that but of course they really didn't understand her and the parents thought it was funny. I don't know this just stuck out to me for some reason so I decided to share. Anyways on with our photos!

This is when my parents parted ways with us as they had a special birthday ADR for my Dad at Le Cellier.

We headed towards The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

Up Next: Fish are friends not food!

Fish are friends not food!

I don't have very good photos of the Seas with Nemo and Friends but it'll have to do.

We watched the Dolphins in the Seas for a while. That is something I have never reeky done.

After watching the Dolphin make some rounds we headed outside.

What was next you ask?

No its not Soarin' thats closed for refurb of course. Living with the Land! A must do for myself. I love watching the plants and seeing everything.

Look at this, no wait!

That reminds me of our trip to Epcot last year. I was getting the Agent P stuff for DS in UK, while he and DH went to the bathroom. There was a family speaking to the CM, but not in English. She didn't seem to understand. I realized they were speaking Spanish and could understand what they wanted. They wanted a character meet & greet with Agent P/Perry, but this was only the game. So, in my horribly broken Spanish, I managed to explain that there was no Perry in the parks and that this was a game. I had a hard time figuring out how to explain the game. Finally, the word for treasure, tesoros, came to mind, and I said it was a treasure game. They miraculously understood and were very appreciative, and so was the CM, who only spoke English, with an actual British accent. Right after they left DS, who goes to a dual language English/Spanish school and speaks pretty good Spanish, waltzes up. I was like why couldn't you have got here a few minutes earlier:rolleyes: I feel for the CMs in the parks, because a lot of them don't speak other languages.

DON'T TOUCH THE SAND! Lol

I have never seen half of these plants before except for on this ride.

Okay find this really funny how in Nemo we hear about how fish are friends not food but then here they are made to become food...

Winter Melons!

And that was that! I thought I would get the big photo update out of the way and then probably won't update the rest of the week. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Only 8 days until regular registration for Marathon Weekend 2017! Then maybe I can start a PTR!

Up Next: Los Tres Amigos!

Yeah, I have taken 6 years of Spanish in school but I am not fluent by any means. I think the family we encountered was Brazilian and they speak Portuguese, similar to Spanish of course but also different.
