I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

What camera do you use? You have some great pictures!
Also, how was the expo at ESPN? The last race I did in Florida (Princess 2013) had the expo at Coronado so I don't know what to expect when I'm going to be there in April.
(I've also never been to the ESPN area period so that helps in my not knowing what to expect...)

All of these pictures are from my iPhone 6+, photo pass, or my Canon T5i DSLR.

I enjoy the expo at the WWoS. I believe they hold all of the expos there now.

Its a Star Wars/Osborne Studios!

Photo bucket is still acting weird but I got enough photos uploaded for another update thankfully. So continuing where we left off...

After enjoying RnRc we headed towards the other side of the park for our first FP. On the way we decided to stop for some photos.

I must say I wasn't a "Hat Hater" but DHS without it is a lot better. There is just so much more space!

It will be interesting to see how this part of the park changes over the next five years if it does at all.

My family thinks I am nuts for taking the amount of pictures I do and especially the types of things I take pictures of. Well most of you know I am a contributor on the News and Rumors board and with that I am always interested in what is going on in the parks so that is why I do that.

This is supposed to be a new meet and greet.

This seems to be for some concrete work.

We were then at our destination... Star Tours!

I have always liked Star Tours and the new updated version made it even a bit better. Hopefully Disney hits a home run with Star Wars Land.

Once we escaped the dark side we had some time before our second FP so we continued with the Star Wars theme and headed to Launch Bay!

Lets all take a moment to say goodbye to Pizza Planet.

I do miss the animation studio but I am all for new things especially at the studios.

The lightsabers are way smaller than I thought they would be. They were on display while I was in line for the one and only... Chewie! I really liked this meet and greet, he was very good and even talked.

We headed towards the Jawas next!

They were really cool and were trying to trade for things with everyone. Up next were more props and the gift shop.

They had a lot of Star Wars costumes for sale as well but there is no way I would ever spend the hundreds or even thousands for what they were asking. I mean I like Star Wars but not that much. I looked around in the shop and got a Launch Bay pin and looked at the Sphero BB-8 droid but didn't get it. However I did order one when we got back from vacation and its awesome!

It was Fastness time so we headed over to TSMM!

For those of you that don't know Mr. Potato Head is behind walls as they are working on changing around the queue for the third track expansion.

I was the winner of the group. That ride is always a good arm workout!

Next to TSMM Sorcerer Mickey was meeting and had a short line so we decided to take a few pictures.

Mickey liked my Eat, Sleep, Disney shirt.

Our final FP for the day was for Tower of Terror. Both of my sisters were hesitant to ride as they never have before. It was also starting to get a bit darker out meaning the lights would be coming on soon which was a huge reason we were there that night. It was the final Osborne Lights ever and I was there for the very first time! We decided to just skip the ToT FP and camp out for the lights.

Im going to stop here for now as I have tons of pictures I need to get in order for the Osborne Lights. Lets just say it was a memorable experience.

Up Next: I am in Awe...

I am in Awe...

Well it seems photobucket is back to working like normal. I just hope it stays that way. Between my DSLR and my phone I took around 3000 photos. These next few updates are going to be photo heavy.

We sat on the curb waiting for the lights to turn on which was supposed to be 6PM but then was changed to 6:15PM. I was surprised that it wasn't more packed than it was based on what everyone was saying earlier in the day. It was the last showing ever after all. With that said there still was a lot of people there. I watch Mousesteps Weekly on youtube and Jeff and Denise were both there that night, I only saw Denise but didn't have the guts to go say hi. And based on periscope Mike and Michelle from the Mickey Miles podcast were both there but I didn't see them.

For you Once Upon a Time fans you understand this reference!

And then it was time! As soon as the lights went on my jaw dropped. I do my own lights display at my house with around 20000 lights. This is my display times 250!

While we were waiting my sister was in line for some hot chocolate since my Grandma was chilly. I remind you I was in shorts and this 50 degree weather would be considered like summer back in Wisconsin.

Back to the lights! Everyone else stayed where they were but I went to walk around and take it all in.

Baby Sinclair!

Continued in next post...

They had a very cool display for the origin of the Osborne lights and some history on Jennings.

I really loved all of the hidden things around the display like Kermit, hidden mickeys, and the star wars stuff.

This is one heckuva Mega Tree, mine is only 11ft high.

It was then time to say goodbye. We had to head off to Epcot for our ADR at Via Napoli. This was also likely our night for illuminations.

Up Next: Yes it is a lot of food

Oh, we missed the Osborne history display, neat pictures of it. The lights were very cool and like you was excited we got to finally see them with the extended nights they added. We went Tuesday night and it was packed I thought. It's sad they'll be gone, wonder what they'll do with them all?

I've been slacking- how did I miss all these updates?!?! Haha!

Love your faces on RnRC! I really like the street decor for the holidays in DHS. It's definitely one of my favorite parks at the holidays.

Wow- so many good character meets! I'm excited to check out the new Star Wars stuff. Your pictures make it look great!

The lights are beautiful! I'll never see those in person but they sure seem fantastic! I can only hope they're leaving to make way for something even better in the coming years.

Yes they were great. I know a lot of the larger objects that are from the Osbornes will be going back to them. The rest will probably be put in a warehouse somewhere or thrown out.

It's ok we all slack at some point lol.

Yes I really enjoy the Christmas decor, I'm glad they have been keeping it up for marathon weekend so we get to see it.

The Star Wars stuff is really fun I would recommend it to anyone despite the state DHS will be in soon.

It's unfortunate you didn't get to see them in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

Joining in-

Congratulations on your half!

Your pictures are great!
I'm glad you were able to see Osbourne lights! It looks amazing, sad I won't get a chance to see it someday.
I like all the hidden details you found.
The beach club decorations look really pretty too.

Looks like your family is having a great time!

Thanks for joining in!

The Osborne lights really were great.

I love the picture from Rock n Roller Coaster. Everyone has hysterical looks on their faces (including you!).

I'm not at all a Star Wars person, but I thought the Launch Bay was pretty cool. I also really enjoyed meeting Chewbacca - I think they did a great job with that M&G!

I love all of the Osborne Lights pictures - thanks for posting so many! I really wish we could have gotten a chance to see them, but it would have been too crazy for us to change our plans that close to the trip. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to enjoy looking at your awesome pictures!

Yes RnRc is a family favorite.

I'm not a crazy Star Wars fan but I do like it. Launch Bay was a lot of fun.

Luckily we had DHS planned for the 6th and I didn't have to change anything around. Even if I didn't have DHS that day I probably would've still changed things around to see them for a little bit. We did miss our ToT FP but I was more interested in the lights.

Finally caught up!

So now I have to go and make comments...
YAY for arriving early at MCO and love that your grandmas had a drink to celebrate! LOL Boo for room not being available but yay for Disney for making it right! The Carousel is still up!!!! Too cool! Making me so excited for BC stay in November...thanks for all the great pictures.

You are a total planner at heart...love others that make spread sheets too! Although I am getting better at just going with the flow!

BOOOOO for the bib issues...and what a haul you and grandma made at the expo!

Have to love your sisters faces on RnRC! Classic...and I am glad the hat is gone too...actually Idid not mind the hat but the stage in front of it was a total eyesore! I cant wait to take my boys to see the new Star Wars changes.

I am so glad you got to see Osborne lights...of course I am way jealous of that too!

BC was great, loved the resort, the room, everything about. Without a doubt I would stay there again.

Even though I make a spreadsheet sometimes I just have to go with the flow. I love planning Disney trips so much so that I'm currently having withdrawals and need to plan another one.

Yeah the bib issues were weird but we got it solved at least. The haul was great I couldn't believe when my sister called and said they got all of those shoes no problem.

That area by the theater just feels so open and nice. There still is a small stage for now but it isn't as big as before.

The Osborne lights and being there for the last night will be something I remember for ever.

Man, I am so sad the lights are going. I hope they find a way to bring them back. I think I said it in your PTR - but the lights are one of those things that pictures don't remotely do it justice.

I laughed when you said that your family thinks you are nuts for taking pictures of stuff. I can just imagine. "Oh wait - I have to get a picture of this wall!!!" :lmao:

Try going with non-DIS friends and asking if you can take pictures of their food before they eat it!

Hope you were able to get to ToT at some point...
