How to make a video - with music?

Anyone know how to do this?

I already have a machine where I can set up the photos - and then record them with my DD's video camera..

But how do I set it all to music? Is there some other contraption I have to buy?

I've been wanting to do this for my DH for years now - photos of all of us over the years with music playing in the background - and I'd like to do it for his Dec. birthday - or Christmas - but I'm stumped on the music part..

Anyone here ever actually done it?

I use Pinnacle Studio to edit my photos together, but if you're using your setup, can you connect an audio cable to the audio in or mic jack of your camera?
