How to keep track

How do I keep track of what I have read? Anything similar to the "mark all read" option on the aol boards? Is it easier to just subscribe to the threads of interest and keep track of what page number you last read? There are a ZILLION posts here! I LOVE that but it is a little overwhelming for the newbie!
