How rushed is it to make the pirate party with late dinner seating?

Right now we have late dinner seating (wait listed for main).

We have three boys who will be anxious to attend the pirate party. By the time we finish dinner will we be stuck way at the back of the crowd on deck 9? Is deck 10 a better place to try?

Any advice?

There are lots of good places for the pirate party, so that's not a worry. You won't be hungry when they bring out the buffet, but you'll be in plenty of time for the fun.

We had second seating- 8:15 dinner in Nov and made it to the pirate party and still got a good spot. The servers are aware everyone wants to go, and dinner that night seemed to come out a lot faster than the other nights. You can also skip dessert that night, as the buffet later has plenty of sugary treats!

yes, they definitely served dinner faster that night, but we still got stuck up in the mob on deck 9. And yes, we weren't hungry and the food looked delicious. We just took a plate of desserts and shared them.

We were finished dinner by 9:45, and went straight up to the party to get right up front. But, you could have gotten there after 10:00 and still gotten really close...the fireworks weren't til almost 10:30, and the "show" of pirate mickey and everything wasn't until quarter after 10, which was when the party got really mobbed. So just tell your servers when you sit that you want to be done by 9:30, and you will, then you can take your time going up and have plenty of places to decide where to hang out.

We had plenty of time to get to the Pirate party after late seating and we were some of the last ones out of the dining room.

My only complaint was that the pirate buffet looked amazing but we were TOO stuffed to eat!!

I second this!!

We were close to the stage and we had second seating. Like others have stated, there is so many places to watch from.
