    May 2014 for 2 Adults - 2 Children (3 & 5)
    ------------------
    7 Day MYW
    Standard Room at CBR
    QS DDP
    ------------------
    Sub Total: $3,594.38
Less 30% Pin code discount on room
    Less Disney Visa Points

    ------------------
    Total: $2,331.33

If you add in transportation costs (gas/food/hotel/etc) driving from Oklahoma that is roughly another $1000. So around $3,333 for this trip. Our 2011 trip cost about $2,300, but we only needed 3 park tickets, had a free DDP, and stayed at POP. So really not too bad. Look at flying this time around, but would have cost about $700-$800 more after factoring in tickets, baggage fees, renting a stroller, etc.

    Just Disney Part:
    September 2014
    10 nights
    2 adults
All Star Sports - with 20% room discount
    Dining Plan - 2nd level
7 day park pass (non-hopper) 1 day MNSSHP and one day DTD/WL bikes
Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
    $3,000.00

Airline: at the moment $450.00 (have 1 free ticket with reward points)

Have not priced: car rental (not much), photopass+ (?price), spending money - we don't buy alot of souvenirs, maybe a random t-shirt, if I see one :-) I mostly like photopass and ride photos ... so estimating $400.00 more :confused3

.. say maybe close to $4,000.00 total - and as I saw someone post earlier, only for Disney - we go every third year (I make sure our other vacays don't cost this much) :-)

    Fascinating thread...thanks everyone for sharing!

For us this will be our first ever "true immersion" Disney Experience (plus a little Universal as well), where we're staying on property and going to parks. (In other words, we're not at a convention working, or staying off property, like we have always done in the past)

    For the Disney part:

2 people POFQ 1/25-1/28 (3 nights, with two one-park passes each), includes "free" dining: 1106.52

airfare for 2 from Raleigh, NC via Southwest: 395.60

Also spending one night at the Loews Royal Pacific for AAA rate of 218.98
Will be using the last 2 days of 3-day Universal tickets that we bought years ago.

Will still need to rent a car, but waiting for a deal that I can't refuse (usually no more than $15 a day from MCO). Should be no more than $100. Plus it'll be $18 to park at Universal.

    Total (so far): 1721.10

    *Tentative May 2014 Trip priced

WDW cost of a 3 way split stay between WDW, UNI and Savannah:

    3 Adults

    Driving

    Disney Swan - 7 nights:
0.00 - Queen Room - Free w/ Starwood Amex Points
    245.00 - Parking/resort fee @ 35.00/day
500.00 - Food (I have 400.00 in free gift cards already earned through points from 2 years ago which we will also used).
150.00 - Gas (1/2 of trip cost figured here as split stay)
1150.00 - Tickets- 6 day/ w park hopper option (already have 5 day base purchased so really only going to be another 225.00 to upgrade).

    $2045.00 Total Cost

*Tentative because we don't know if we are going to Disney in 2014 for sure yet - we might wait until 2015 but would not expect the cost to change much since using points and our tickets are already purchased.

Our trips overlap. August 9-18. I'm sitting on a dummy reservation booked without discount until I see what the best deals shake out to be. Was shocked last August to be able to get a 2 bedroom at SSR direct from Disney cheaper than renting points. I'll make our ADRs at 180+10 and prepay where needed but won't know where onsite until late June. With FP+ I will need to buy tickets sooner as well. Probably around 80 days.

Five nights (renting DVC points from a friend): $840-$870 (we are at AKL Kidani Savannah View but wait listed for three nights at BC Villas and there is a difference in price for points)

    Airfare: $360

    Tickets: $750

Dining Plan $800-1,000 - Not sure if doing Deluxe entire time or splitting Deluxe and Regular Dining Plan

Car: $450 (Total of 9 days since we are visiting family first)

So Max Cost is about $3,430. I am thrilled with the DVC rental. That is saving us a bunch.

Wow. That does seem surprising! We are renting points for the first time and I hope I don't see cheaper prices after we book! Lol

It was a function of what type of room I needed I think. Depending on what time of year you go there are almost always last minute point specials from dvcrequest but not enough to book a two bedroom. You also happen to have to like SSR-I do. In other years those last minute specials are cheaper. You have to feel comfortable gambling. Part of booking direct through Disney that annoys me is my vacation always crosses two seasons. Even though both have the same discount I have had to make two reservations everytime and run the risk of having to move. I never have had to change rooms but they are pretty upfront about the possibility of it

We have 8 people (two families) leaving in three weeks. Here's what our trip is costing so far...

    Plane tix - $2195.96
    Rental (15 passenger van) - $649.15
Room #1 (POP, 6 day MYW tix, free QS dining PIN, 3 adults + 1 child) = $2117.60
    Room #2 (POP, 6 day MYW tix, free QS dining PIN, 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant) = $1718.92

    Total = $6681.63

Of course, we'll have other expenses, like gas, a table service meal or two, and such. We might have some extra luggage fees, since we need to pack for January weather. We're likely to add park hoppers and maybe an extra day when we get there. I don't think that's too bad for 8 people.
