Not wanting to invest in many more permanent sharpies than our existing black and red: how many is a reasonable minimum for pillowcase signings??

We just did black. I truthfully didn't even think about doing different colors until I saw a picture of one with different colors. My DD didn't know we were doing it so she was thrilled with it -- she didn't seem to mind that it was a white pillowcase with nothing on it and black writing.

I have to say I obsessed over this before our recent cruise. I ended up doing a pack of black-red-blue-green for DS, and a pastel pack for DD. The multicolors look great. However, if your pillowcase only has one or two colors, your child will not know others out there have multicolored pillowcases!

We purchased a pack with 10 assorted colors. I got a blue pillowcase for DS and a pink pillowcase for DD and they look really nice with all the different colored signatures.

I packed red and black and it loks great in Mickey's colors.
