We just bought VGF in December and are staying there for the first time the first week of October!

I said 16 years since we've realized the benefits and joys of membership since 1999. More accruatel, I gues it's 5 years. My parents purchased in 1999 and added my wife and I to their deeds in 2010 for estate planning. We then used that as an opportunity to buy into BLT and ensure one membership by doing it as an add-on to the original contracts my parents had purchased and added us to.

So, I guess 5 and 16 years. Since we are on that original membership same as my parents, we get credit for 16!

We've been SSR owners, since 2011...This was the 3rd & final tour we took, and finally signed on the dotted line...The first time we took the tour was in 2007, then again in 2008......Took our 1st DVC trip in the summer of 2012 and have never looked back...Best thing we've done by far...

This is exactly the same for us! Joined in 2008 & stayed on developer points for my birthday in January 2009. We were there when the oranges froze on the trees it was so cold!

Bought my first contract for VGF at the end of last year. I added more points to my VGF contact this year and also bought a small 100 point contract for the Polynesian after my visit in July.

It has been a life goal for me to be a DVC member for over a decade when I first visited The Boardwalk with a family who were members while I was in high school. I saw what kind of vacations the club can bring to a family and I saw it as something I wanted for my own some day. I am thrilled to have had VGF in development when I was at a point to make that kind of financial commitment. I feel very lucky to have been able to make my favorite resort my home resort.

We stayed at BLT Dec 2009 and 2010 (loved it both times). I stopped to ask a few questions at the DVC booth but did not book the tour. Came home and in Jan 2011 started researching DVC. I stumbled upon resale and the Timeshare store and asked many many questions. Disney then announced they were making changes to resale purchases effective March 2011 and we decided to purchase at that point. Our Canadian dollar was at par then as well which makes us extremely happy now we purchased when we did. Our maintenance fees are becoming more costly but we can stay in deluxe accomodations rather than going back to value!!!
