3 months, I try to get last minute bargains :cool1:

6 months, I know what our schedule is like by then

9 months, that way I know we'll get what we want :woohoo:

12 months, planning my trip as early as possible gives me peace of mind, and give me happy thoughts! ::yes::

I voted "12 months" because that was the closest.

We're DVC...so we book our "home resort" at 11 months out...then switch at 7 months if we're trying for a different resort.

It depends on what vacation I'm planning. If it's Disney, we tend to book 12 months out so we can get exactly what we want. We also love knowing that we've got a Disney trip plan in the works. :) Any other vacation we plan about 3 months in advance.

I voted 9 months but last trip it didn't really work out that way. I booked 10 months in advance, paid my deposit and then 8 weeks before our trip found out that the house had been sold and taken out of the rental pool. I was frantic until I started searching on line and found out how much was available for the two weeks we wanted in August. I ended up getting a much better deal. Nicer home and for less money.

Being DVC I always book at the 11 month widow for our home resort. I then always get what I want.

Ditto! We're also DVC, so we book 11 months out.

I start planning my next year's trip while I am still on the present one! As soon as I get home, I am on the phone getting a new reservation. It just feels good to have something booked, I end up changing it several times before we actually go.

Unplanned weekends like Halloween and "maybe" trips I still plan 3 months ahead. I have had 3 trips booked all at once, for different times. Right now I have Dolphin and POR booked for the same trip, trying to decide which one will be best for us.
