For whatever mysterious amount we choose to tip our concierge, do we charge the tip to our OBA, or give him/her the tip personally?

Also, on the Magic/Wonder, are there times when some other random concierge may do some things for you? Is it possible to tip your own concierge, then charge a tip for the concierge staff to share? Theoretically we could tip on an on-demand basis, but that would require control over the actions of children, and I'm sure you all know that's not gonna happen.

We charged to the onboard account. The tip sheet you get will have a spot for concierge. We have always just filled it out and let them handle it. Then you do the same as for the other CM's give them an envelope with the receipt. We have heard varying stories of whether they do a tip share versus if they keep the tip for themselves. The majority of the times though we have heard that they are assigned guests and they are tipped by those guests. I am not sure how one would tip the other concierge but in this case I would just give cash.

On the new ships we have also heard varying reports of tip share versus individual, it is a different concept there as the lounge is manned by 1 of the 3 concierge throughout the day. And you may or may not have interaction with just a single concierge, technically on your ticket it does show a single name but I would think that as many duties are shared then they will likely share the tips. Once again if we liked someone in particular cash is a good way to go. Otherwise just use your ship account.

We just got off the Wonder and charged the concierge tip to our OBA. There were 2 concierge staff members (Rodrigo and Jonathan). We were assigned Rodrigo and he was awesome!!! He handled about 95% of our needs/requests. We interacted with JOnathan during the concierge welcome reception and at the cabana on CC. We gave our tip to Rodrigo via the tip envelope provided.

Cheesemouse- Do you mind telling me your stateroom #? We will be on the Wonder this weekend and I was wondering if Rodrigo had our room. We had Danny on the Magic last year and he was amazing!!! We don't really ask for anything, but his little touches were fantastic! Almost made us want to do Mediterranean with him this year :)

If do shipboard account, tips on new ships are pooled by the concierges, one of them told me this directly.

we just got off the magic...there was an envelope in our room for the Concierge and we put cash in there and gave it to him.

He made a point to come by after dinner of the last night...and in the morning of the day we left...to "check on us", give us a little surprise, and pick up the Ipad we borrowed.

WE had the option to charge it to the room, but we just did all our tips in cash.

Also, there were two concierges on board...and both were super nice to us. My sense is that they are specifically assigned rooms though - but sort of cover for each other for all concierge-eligible rooms.

FWIW I was fine with that, because each of them was nice and kind and helped us in the minimal ways we ever asked for help.

So bummed that Rodrigo is off the Dream. And sadder that I have NOTHING booked for the Wonder.

Rodrigo absolutely made our vacation, and I wouldn't sail non concierge on a ship he was working on.

Ditto. We have had him on the magic and on some dream cruises. But I am happy to hear he is on the wonder so we can see him again.

Our daughter still asks for him.

Currently it is Kemisha, Alice and Julia. They are an awesome team. :goodvibes DS still calls them his girlfriends and asks when we can go see them.

Actually, if you can put Rodrigo with Julia and Kemisha that would be the ultimate trifecta!!!

I brought several hundred in cash just for this purpose, but was happy to find the bottom of the Standard Gratuities Sheet had a write-in and charge option. Look for my other post on how much to tip to the Concierge.
