I get this ALL THE TIME, as I'm sure all of do. Sometimes, oddly enough, it stumps me. I don't really know how to answer. Some of my responses:

"I LOVE the feeling I get every time I walk through the turn style"
"It's more than an amusement park to me. I love the atmosphere"
    "DUH, because it's FUUUN"

How do you all respond to this question when you get it?

Do your friends never listen to the same song again? Do they never watch the same movie again (even if its on DVD or TV)? Its the same thing. Its entertainment!

I always like a snarky response such as, "It's my vacation and I'll Disney if I want to." :rotfl:

My favorite response is.... WDW is 40+ square miles so it takes a while to see everything! :thumbsup2

My most used response is I'm going for xyz.... Flower and Garden, Christmas, etc.

    A) It's none of your freaking business where I vacation.

    B) Think of it as my "beach house" or my "mountain cabin by the lake".

    C) Because I can. Jealous?

D)Yes, I've seen everything three times, but in certain circles, that makes me an amateur.

    Take your pick!

    1. I get to be the kid I didn't get to be as a child
    2. Work is stressful so this is my way of letting the magic take me away
    3. There is so much to do even after 25 times I haven't seen it all yet
    4. It's a great place to go when you can't get others to go on other vacations you would like to take, so you come" home" where you know where everything is and you can be yourself and just BE!:hippie:

"If you have to ask that question, you'll never get it. I'm so sorry for you."

That's what's known as a Disney superiority complex.

I really hate it when people ask me...I used to try & explain...now when they ask me "haven't you seen it all?"... I just reply with a firm "NO" and walk away!

    - It's no different than people who go to the same mountain cabin, or lake house every year.

    -It's our escape from reality.

    'It's our therapy. :)

Amen. Lots of people here visit the Lake of the Ozarks area.

I just say "Some people go to Branson, we go to Disney World"

Here, lots of people have a cabin on the lake.

    We call WDW our cabin.

We just love it, so why wouldn't we go back?
And no, we haven't seen it all...

Looove it!! I live in Springfield, and Branson is mostly a shopping destination to me ;)

I sometimes feel that I don't want these people to catch Disney fever....it might make it less crowded for me if they all go to Branson instead!! :rotfl:

i've been going to WDW every year since 1974 - sometimes multiple times a year....

so in 37 years, you can imagine the number of times this question/statement/ridicule has been tossed my way....

i used to answer, but now i don't bother....it doesn't matter what i would say, it won't make a difference....

it's sort of like with prices - "if you have to ask, you can't afford.."

in this case, if they have to ask, they're not going to understand, so why bother...

    they really are just jealous.....
their ridicule is covering their envy that we enjoy something in our lives so much....and not only do we enjoy it, we enjoy it together as a family........

    so i just ignore them....
