DH and I have decided that we don't feel the need for Universal/IOA this year so that's saved a few $

Also treated ourselves to a King suite at the Gatwick Hilton with access to the executive lounge and breakfast inc....add on the car parking and that was around the £300 mark:scared1: We love doing this as we consider this the proper start to our holiday and money well spent.

It's a big birthday for me so would have been rude not to!!!!;)

Here's ours...

Two adults, three children. However, the girls are 15, 12 and 9, so the two eldest count as adults.

Friday 23rd August - Monday the 9th of September.
17 nights in total.

- 11 nights on site at Walt Disney World Yacht Club, Water View Room.
- Disney Dining Plan.
- 14 day tickets.
- Transfers.
- Virgin Flights from Manchester.

Total Cost: £8,057.00.

Then...

- 6 nights at Orista Villa, with pool heating.
- Car hire for seven days.

Total Cost: £670.00.

We need to add on...

- Wet 'n Wild tickets (Approx. £150.00).
- Discovery Cove Tickets (Approx. £700.00).
- Aquattica Tickets (Approx. £150.00).
- Travel insurance (Approx. £100).
- ESTA (Approx. £30, for girls only, ours will still be valid).

Total Cost: £1,100.00

Then... (*sigh* It's sort of daunting adding this up!).

- Spending money, two adults (one of which is Disney mad) plus 3 children = A LOT!
- Food/snacks budget for Disney and for our week in the villa without the very lovely Disney Dining Plan.

we HAVE to travel in the school holidays so our prices are based on that time.

This time there is 7 of us travelling and whilst we had enough airmiles for miles+money flights with virgin for everyone we could never find availability for all 7 of us. My sisters boyfriend is a nervous flyer so was very reluctant to have a stop as he hates the takeoff and landing most so we agreed for them to book when they found a decent price and we would book on an in-direct flight that would leave on the same day as it didn't really bother us.

so,
2adults 1 child miles+money flights virgin MAN-MCO
Adults were £760 +2000airmiles, child was £650
3 adults 1 infant flying US airways via philadelphia
adults were £660 and infant was £66

total = £4216

We are there for 17nights (virgin people) and 21 nights US airways ppl.
All staying 6 nights Holiday inn main gate universal in 2bed
£680

11nights on my mums DVC points at AKL in a 2bed standard view
(we don't pay my mum for the original cost but we do all put in for the dues, roughly £2.50 a point, we used about 350)
£875

Then the US airways ppl (Me, DH, DD and my mum)
4 nights lake view studio at contemporary (didn't have enough points so we rented points instead, still FAR cheaper than paying!)
£400

14 day disney ultimate passes £234 pp x 6
£1404

4day park to park universal
£550 (ish)

2day Seaworld
£250 (ish)

Disney dining plan for 11 nights 5 adults 1 child
£1400

tip allowance £140

Food at universal allowance £600

Spending money £600 (we don't overdo the souvenirs etc because we are there every year or 2!)

Delux dining plan (going to do signatures and not definately decided if we are doing this yet or not) for the last 4 nights for US airways ppl
£720 (inc tip allowance)

Disney photopass pre-order £80
Taxis (to manchester airport rtn £120, MCO-universal and universal -disney £100)

do I even want to add this lots up???

£12,135 for EVERYTHING!!!!

Can roughly say thats for 6 ppl as the infant doesn't cost much anywhere, and the 4 year old unfortunately costs virtually the same as an adult now!
the US airways lot saved £300 on flight but then spent £720 on dining plan and £400 on additional hotel = £1120 - 300 = 820

so for the 17 nights its roughly £11000 divided by 6,
£1833 each, £2100 for the 21 night ppl!

We've 3 adults on United from Edinburgh via Newark to Orlando for 11 nights departing 9th September.

8 nights in POFQ in 1 room with CS mealplan and 14 days of tickets with the $150 gift card as well.

3 nights at the Portifino Bay at Universal also with a 14 day park hooper ticket.

Flights £1782
Disney £1407
Univer. £700

Extras. Insurance £90 , cab fares Disney to Universal and onto Airport £70 ish

Split between the 3 off us approx £1350 per person.

Very happy with that though it is rising every year :)

Will have to work from memory, all my figures are at home.
Going in 6 week summer hols so expensive time of year.

Flight outbound VA Premium Economy £240pp plus VA airmiles x3 = £720
Flight inbound Delta Economy Comfort £40 plus Delta airmiles x3 = £120
3 nights Fairfield Inn LBV £9 plus American Airlines airmiles
21 nights OKW & DDP £2,478
3 x 21 night Ultimate Tix £807
6 nights car full size £150
18 nights car 7 seater minivan (half of share) £240

Already have SW & Busch AP's pay £6/month DD for those
Already have Uni AP's from last year.

Total £4,524, a little better than the VH quote of £12,000 for something similar.
I expect the free food to total over £2,000.:cloud9:
