If you were wondering what Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is like, or if you think you will never ever get to Hong Kong, then this photo tour will give you a fair idea of what Hong Kong Disneyland looks like. I hope you enjoy the detail and themeing that this resort has to offer. I’m trying to use best photos I have for this tour, taken 7th May 2009 and 17th & 18th May 2011.
Hong Kong Disneyland is known to be “small” having only four lands, Main Street USA, Tomorrowland, Adventureland and Fantasyland and even those lands do not have all the attractions that are expected in the USA parks. The great news is that there are three NEW lands being constructed and will be completed by 2014!! Toy Story Land to be completed in 2012, Mystic Point and Grizzly Gulch, (photo’s and much more on that later). The Resort has two hotels, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and the Disney’s Hollywood hotel. There is a Waterfront Promenade, a Park Promenade and Inspiration Lake. Photo’s of them all later.
Can you do Hong Kong Disneyland all in one day? I’d say No, but you should be able to do it all in two days comfortably.
So sit back and enjoy a photo tour of Hong Kong Disneyland.
A Sign showing locations of Hotels, etc: in relation to the Park.
Here is a “Jogging Map” of the resort and gives some distances. As you can see there is plenty of room for expansion of this resort.
The tour begins with the entry area. If you arrive by Taxi, Train, Car or Bus youll come through this area to get to Hong Kong Disneyland Park.

Mickey surfing on the whales spout, he moves up and down. Lots to see here with Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy fountains. This area is very pretty at night
more photos later.
I could spend a while here but there is a park to go to!
Here you can see this entry area in May 2009

The Tunnel Sign
I enjoy the tunnel posters. These are from both the left and right entry tunnels. I love the artwork and the thrill of coming attractions of what is in the park.

OK, so that's the Entry area, some night shots later.
Next posts is Town Square in Main Street USA.
You can get into Main Street before the park official opening time and it is a great time to take some photos and get to the rope drop area for the Official Opening. Coming out of the left hand tunnel.

The Disneyland Fire department. You can see a few horse bridles but no fire truck or horses. The Fire department is used for renting out Strollers and Wheelchairs.
Here is a picture of one of many hand sanitizers around the park.
The man in the background is smoking in one of the few smoking areas in the park.
OK, Now entering Town Square from the right hand side tunnel.
I see another poster
The Royal Banquet Hall
This building is the Professional Building which is home to the ANIMATION ACADEMY, (#3 in Guide map) where you learn to draw your favorite Disney characters. Shows are performed in Cantonese.
The Opera house is home to ART of ANIMATION (#4 in Guide Map)
A detail on the window
These temporary drawings appeared on the footpath in the afternoon, they were not there this morning.
Detail of poster on front of the Opera House
Inside the ART of ANIMATION is the Toy Story Zoetrope which spins at high speed and with a strobe light has an amazing effect. This photo doesn't do it justice.
There are a few pieces of art displayed.
