We have booked a cruise for next Sept. We right now are in Cat5A verandah deck 10 midship. A code came out and I could save almost $700 if we switch to a Cat7 obstructed view verandah deck 9 either forward or aft. Is this wise to do? Will the obstructed view be too bad? Will we feel more movement of the ship is we are forward or aft? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I'd save the money. You won't be spending too much time in your cabin anyway -- there's so much to do on board!

I've been all over the ships and the movement never seemed much different or bothersome.

    Enjoy!

Especially if it your first cruise I'd save the money too. BUT, I'd also be curious to know the price difference between the 5A and the 7 without the code. In essence, how much is the deal saving you vs how much the category change is saving.

I was wondering if you could tell me what was the code/special that came out that you applied to your Sept cruise?

Also if I were you I'd take the savings because you will love any cabin you are in

    Thanks

The code was DRM. Savings and a $100 dollar onboard credit

I've never heard of this code, but good for you!

I'd take the savings. We've cruised in an "obstructed view" verandah, and in all honesty I probably wouldn't have even noticed the "obstruction" if I didn't know to look for it. Sure, when I looked, it was there. But there is no way it would have ever interfered with my enjoyment of the verandah. Of course, my experience was in one cabin only--others may be more obstructed.
