My DH, and DD age 7 are staying at GF in Fed. Our first time - so excited! Does anyone know where I can find a map of the resort with the name of the buildings labeled? I keep reading about specific buildings, but can't seem to find a labeled map!
Here's a link from All Ears website:

Happy planning.....the GF is a beautiful resort .
Thank you!
My DH has a conference at GF and we had to book our rooms thru an outside source. The only thing they could tell me is our room is an "outer building, garden view, with 2 Queen beds". Anyone know which building(s) this might be? Or which way the rooms face? TIA!

Awesome! Thanks for all your hard work!
I saw a Star Wars game in the arcade, my girls will be all set!
Wha?!
click... click... click...
Awwwwwwwyeah babyyyyyy!!!
Is the arcade open 24 hours? That's probably the only time I'm going to have available at this rate!
BTW, does anyone else hear the Flintstones theme when they read the subject header?
We are arriving at the BC in 4 days and will be checking in at the GF on the 28th! We are so unbelievable excited.
Just wondering if there is any information I can get for anyone while I'm down there? Updated menus, questions for CMs, certain photos, etc? This thread has been a huge help to my planning and I'd love to pay it forward!
Ummm...you mean like the one in the very first post of this thread?!
The GV outer buildings are Sago Cay, Boca Chica, Big Pine Key, and Conch Key (the other outer building is Sugar Loaf, which consists of all CL rooms). I'm not familiar with conventions, but I found this on the All Ears website:
Guests attending conventions at the Grand Floridian are often put in the Sago Cay lodge since this is the closest building to the Convention Center. Often, only adults occupy these rooms. On the other hand, guests with children request the Big Pine Key lodge as it is closest to the pools and beach.
OK that map was not there when I looked . I just had an eye appointment last week.....maybe I need to go back for another one .
I agree! It was not there before! Disney magic, I guess.
Thank you so much! My DH has a golf tournament there in Feb. I'm such a planner - not knowing the building before-hand is going to kill me!

Sorry, you may need another opinion. (j/k, of course!)
On a positive note, there are very few bad rooms at the Grand, so it is overwhelmingly likely you will get a lovely view.
Guys, I cannot even believe I am posting this. We checked in today after 6 days at BC CL. Tomorrow is my 40th birthday.
WE WERE SURPRISE UPGRADED TO THE GRAND SUITE.
I swear I still can barely breathe. I am beside myself. I am still shaking. A few pics for the time being...
I have lots more but don't have much time right now. I can post more later or when I get home.
It has FIVE balconies. They told us Billy Joel played this piano. Johnny Depp stayed here.
It is insane. We have all cried. I am so grateful. We are here for four nights!!!
I am here with dh and kids. My BFF since childhood is staying on the second floor. We have already had our scones and snacks and shopped at basin. And an old friend who I have not seen in years is coming to meet for drinks tonight. Now this is a 40th birthday I can tolerate!
Oh yes, DH had lots of things to say about the switch (gotta love his sense of humor)
But, as far as our list of "resort requirements" go, GF hits all but one (ability to walk to a park) and our other options were missing more than one requirement.
It has everything we want and need, and once DH reviewed the list, he said that he bets we probably end up loving it.
The price isn't too awful....we have 40% off so and going during value season so the nightly rate is actually a little less than what we paid for YC CL this past April. Still isn't super cheap though.
