I asked my son what he wanted for his H.S. graduation trip, and he said a Disney Cruise. A kid after my own heart. ;)

We booked the Fantasy for June 9, 2012 and he will have just turned 18 on June 3. I am a little worried about what he will find to do when he doesn't have the teen club but really isn't an adult, either.

When I talked to DCL today, the person told me that if he was within 30 days of his birthday they would still let him in the teen club. Does anyone know for sure if this is true? Also I mentioned I had heard there were sometimes things specifically for the 18-20 set to do and he said no. I thought I had read about that somewhere on the DIS at some point. Anyone know how it works for this age?

    TIA! :)

Thanks for the thread links. I'm usually very good about using the search feature first, but I've been juggling a ton of stuff today and my poor ADD brain is numb. For whatever strange reason I just didn't think to do it.

There is still one question I didn't see answered, although I may have just missed it. I know if they are 18 and still in high school they can still participate, but this is a June cruise and he will have just graduated. Wondering if the 30 day rule holds true for that if he still wants to go in.

Everything I have read states that if an 18 year old has graduated from high school, but not yet started college, they are allowed in the teen club. On every DCL cruise we have been on, there has also been a "college" group that got together. The time and place was listed in the Navigator.

Also, since he will be 18 he can go to the Cove Cafe, use the Quiet Cove pool, go to Palo/Remy, and go to the nightclubs after 9:00pm, etc.

Our DS is already planning what he wants to do when we go on the Fantasy in 2012 after his 18th birthday!
