We used them for a home in Kissimmee and it worked very well.

You might want to visit the Orlando/Attractions Board. There are so many Disers on that board with a great deal of experience with VRBO. Although most of the info seems to be in the Disney area, I have seen info on other areas also. We rented through an owner using VRBO last year and it was a very good experience.

Yep! Once in Fla and once in Hawaii, I have a hard time imagining a vacation without them ;)
I had great luck both times and no problems whatsoever.

I love vrbo and great rentals .com. Both are very reputable places to rent homes/condos for vacations.

We've rented through vrbo in Kissimmee and in August, will be spending a week in Stowe, VT in a chalet we found on vrbo. I think it is a very good service with very extensive listings.

i've rented twice... i like the last minute rentals; they will go down in price if they have something still vacant; or you can see if they will go for different days etc we love them

I love VRBO. Have rented from there about 10 times with no problems whatsoever. In fact, I rented a 1 bd. 1 1/2 ba. condo directly on the beach at Panama City Beach the first week of this past May, 900 sq. foot, beautifully decorated, large balcony, and I paid -- get this! --- (and this INCLUDES taxes and cleaning fee) $450.00 for a WEEK!

I didn't even know anyone rented houses in Lake George. Would these be the condo's up on the northwest side of the lake? I'd be interested in what you end up renting.
