Halloween Horror Nights 23 Unmasking The Horror (UTH) Tour: Pic Thread!!! Completed!!

Hello you HHN fanatics!

As I've done in previous years, I am opening a thread for pictures of the UTH Tour which is being held this year during the day before the Halloween Horror Nights event at night. The UTH Tour is an informational daytime walking tour with lights on of several of the haunted houses. No scare actors are present, but you do get to see all the neat setup of each house plus detailed explanations and background information of the house.

This Tour is a must, you learn so much from the houses and helps soo much when doing the event so you don't miss out on details and the back story to each house. You will be like "oh, so that is why that was in there"..

This year, two Unmasking The Horror Tour experiences are being offered.

The Morning Menace, held at 10:30 a.m. on specific dates, consists of touring three houses:
Urban Legends: La Llorona, The Walking Dead, and The Cabin in the Woods.

The Afternoon Abominations, held at 2:00 p.m. on specific dates, consists of touring three OTHER houses: American Werewolf in London, Resident Evil, and Evil Dead.

I had the pleasure in taking part on both and boy was it worth it!

Note how I always add "Urban Legends:" to the house name and not simply call it "La Llorona". According to the tour guide I had (have had him for 3 years now, he's the best!), Urban Legends might come back in future years for other houses, so they want to keep the phrase! Like Urban Legends: The Lochness Monster, Urban Legends: Black Cat! LOL.. You guys get what I mean...

The Funeral

This following picture was so disturbing.... the children, drowned! It gave me the shivers...

....and their mother, La Llorona, standing and watching them from high above..

...some props were reused from Catacombs House back from HHN 20 (2010)..

The guy below tried to steal the booze from La Llorona's cellar, so she killed him (drowns him, of course). Soooo, during the actual nighttime event, water gushes out of his mouth giving a hint to YOU of how he was killed!

Additional Info
There's a raven in each house! It's practically impossible to find them all during the event since it is so dark in the houses! Here's the raven in La Llorona

If you take a closer look at the bell before entering the House, you can see that its clapper has the form of a scary pumpkin!

Oh, no! They changed the houses? When I booked the tour I was told the afternoon would be AWIL, CitW, and La LLorna. CitW was the must see, totally bummed now.

since i did both houses on the same days, they switched the order of houses up also.
it was the same small (6) group and we all were going to be together for the other one.

for those that book only one tour, morning or afternoon, the schedule of houses will follow as it is listed on the HHN site.

Now this house was amazing! Much better than last year's Walking Dead house.

As you enter the House, you run into the following chair... do you remember it from season 3... Andrea?...

Now guess who the governor combs on this chair....

No water during the day tour in the tanks but still quite creepy! When Michonne found this in the TV series, I was like !!!!

La Llorona is an amazing urban legend and it almost pushed me over the edge to go to HHN this year. Once I regained control , I was hoping that we would get pictures so thanks so much for his. This house looks amazing. Those drowned children with her looking down - wow!

ETA: The Walking Dead does look much better. I did like the moving wall that the zombies were supposedly trying to push down. Was that still there?

When The Mummy at Universal LA was still a haunted house and not a ride, it completely broke me! I NEVER had a problem with haunted houses until a Mummy grabbed me and pulled me into his crypt! 12 years later and I still cant set a foot into a haunted house. universal sure knows how to creep out people!

PoohLover, just as mac and donalduck stated, they won't touch you. You know you can still do the tour during the day without having to attend the actual event at night... I'm just saying....

Another amazing house. Loved the cabin and several of the rooms! The elevator room scene was fantastic!

The cabin is the first thing you see as you enter the stage house....

A raven on the porch of the cabin!....

Inside the cabin is just like the movie... the stuffed wolf is there as well... some girl on the Tour took a picture with the wolf making a gesture very much like what happened in the movie and I was like ....
