I am not sure if this has been posted or not but does Disneyland have a big Halloween party like WDW? I want to go in Oct and the Halloween event is a big selling point for this trip. I would like to go to DL because it will be a quick 3 day trip but if there is no Halloween festivities I will have to look to the World. Can someone help me out? I couln't find anything on Disney.com

The last two years they have had a halloween event at DCA. In DL they decorate the park and have the haunted mansion nightmare overlay.

The DCA event is typically on the 3 weekends before Halloween. Tickets go fast and are sold to ap holders before the general public.

If you want to know what the Halloween party has been like at DCA the last couple of years check out allearsnet.com - they have a page on the Halloween party here: http://allearsnet.com/dlr/tp/dca/mht.htm.

Last year Disneyland did a resort-wide Halloween event called "Disney's HalloweenTime", with special decorations and activities at Disneyland and DCA - you can find some information on that here:
    http://allearsnet.com/dlr/tp/dl/dl_halloween.htm

The Halloween party is not very similar to the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom - there's no special parade or fireworks. But there's LOTS of candy stations and character greeting opportunities. You have to get tickets pretty far in advance, though - the dates have been selling out well in advance. Though I think there are a fair number of people who won't go this year unless they announce they are doing something new - like a parade or fireworks.
