Hey Everyone! Welcome to my [extremely late] PTR! Why late you ask? Well.. we're leaving in 10 DAYS!!!

I've done a PTR before, back in 2011, that I totally slacked on, but I am back to try this again.

So this is me, Casey:

In my last PTR I was in the midst of the best year of coaching cheerleading that I have ever had, which also happened to be my first. The girls on my team were amazing and changed my life forever. That team lead to my most memorable trip ever in December 2011.








I am joined on my mini trip by my cousin Dawn (DILLIGAF) and her daughter Myra. I am sure she will be popping in shortly.

I hope you will join me in what will be a short PTR/trip!

Just to share a little background on this trip... Dawn had booked her trip a while back as a Christmas gift for Myra. They just happened to book this trip so that they could go watch the Cheerleading Worlds at ESPN WWOS.

Dawn had her countdown going.. and was more or less RUBBING IT IN that they were going. I was having a MAJOR Disney urge, as I hadn't been in a year and didn't have any trip planned in the future.

So I was searching the internet trying to find if there was a way that I could go. I just took a new job so I knew I couldn't take any time off of work. But I do work in a school system and we have half days when the kids are on April vacation. So I frantically went searching and found a cheap flight out on April 25th at 2:30 from Providence.

So My plans are as follows:

April 25th:
Fly out of Providence at 2:30- land at MCO at 5:30.
Take a Mears bus to DTD to meet up with Dawn and Myra as they leave their ADR
Most likely head to MK (because it is not officially a trip until you see the castle)

April 26th:
Park day.
Try to get in as much as we can!!

April 27th:
ESPN to watch the Worlds competition
Get transport back to MCO
Flight leaves at 7:15pm
Back in Providence at 9:30pm

Such a short trip I know!! But I know my heart will feel better just after being there if only for 1 and a half days!


So my question to you all:
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD JUST ONE DAY IN DISNEY?!

9 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!

So this trip is a bit unusual for me. Normally I have everything set before I leave and stay 5/6 nights. Because this is such a last minute trip, and because I am hoping on to Dawn's vacation, I will be crashing in her room at the All Star Sports resort.

Yesterday I made a last minute purchase to get ready for my trip:


The Lion King is my favorite movie so I had to get something with Simba on it. I plan on wearing this while in the park on Saturday. For Saturday night and Sunday, we have shirts from the Cheer gym that we are supporting that we will be wearing.

Friday night MK is open until 11 so we will most likely be going there. Saturday the same thing so we will most likely start somewhere else and end at the MK. I heard rumors that Saturday the 26th they are doing a soft opening for the Mine Train!!!!!!!!!


If anyone is reading this (I know you are! 95 viewers!) Say Hi, or something. Anything really.. I feel like I am talking to myself over here and right now.. I am!

So since no one wants to come play I guess I will take this time to tell you a little more about myself.

I am a huge Disney fanatic, but I mean who isn't on these here DISboards?

I work at a school system doing payroll.

In my spare time I coach cheerleading for Pop Warner. As seen above, we went to nationals at WDW in 2011. Last year we almost made it back, but I had one girl with the flu, one with a hurt ankle, one had a panic attack, and the rest all had too many nerves and they fell apart on the mat. We are going to try again this year though, that's for sure!

My most memorable trip is the one mentioned above. I LOVE the parks all decorated for Christmas I am trying to figure out a way to get there again this year but it's tough with coaching and never knowing for sure if we are going until 2 weeks before. I'm seriously contemplating booking the trip and just going regardless.

My favorite smiley on here is this one He is just so cute and all "hey there, look at me!"

I am in the process of buying a house. And by "in the process" I really mean that we close on the 30th of April!

I have a puppy! She can be seen in my sig. Her name is Tessie and she is 7 months old. In that picture she was about 3 months old so she is much bigger now!

My favorite ride at WDW is RnRC. I once rode it 7 times in one vacation the first year it opened.

So excited for your trip!!

Definitely turn this sucker into a TR!! It would be fun to see how a quick weekend goes! Have fun, take lots of pics, and HAVE FUN!

I am totally in for this as I am doing the same thing in JUNE!!!!! But we are driving!!

We just went in October ( I have a TR going) when my sister starting planning a trip with my nephew for a week in June.... We dont get to see each other very often so I proposed the idea of us coming for just the weekend to see them.. I just started a new job in February so the lack of time off, plus money would mean that would be all we could do....

We are leaving Thursday night, June 12th and driving about 5 hours and will stay in a hotel and go the rest of the way on Friday morning (2.5 hours) so we will have all day at our resort ( POR).. We will resort hop, swim, visit animals at AKL and then spend Saturday at MK with my sister and nephew and family... Sunday, we will do Downtown Disney and it is Cars weekend and then head back mid-afternoon. Plus, my MIL is coming with and she has never been.. I am so excited about seeing it through her eyes!!!

Some people think I am crazy for driving that far, just for 2.5 days but hey, when you LOVE Disney, you take what you can get... At first I second guessed it time and time again, but in the end, you only live once and you might as well live it up and be happy!

Can't wait to hear all about your weekend!! Have a blast making those Disney memories!

This trip was a blur. Got to ASSp around 7 or 8 that Friday and went to MK to ride a few rides then back to the hotel. The next day we watched the gym practice and then went to MK. Myra and I wanted to park hop, but someone we were with wanted us to go to MK with her so we went thinking we could leave after. We never ended up leaving and were at MK all day and night. The next morning we were up early and headed to WWOS. We watched the comp and then I had to catch a VERY expensive cab back to MCO.

To be honest I loved being in Disney, but I wouldn't do it again. There wasn't enough time and I didn't even get to see the whole competition. Lesson learned!

But I do have exciting news! BF has agreed to a 10 DAY TRIP!!!!! We are now planning for a 10 day trip next March, 2015. I am off to start that TR now and it will have a lot more in it so I hope you all follow along on that trip!!
