Are there any good hairdressers for women at the resorts or in WDW that you know of? Does the barbershop @ MK do women's hair? Looking for short and trendy cut. Wondering about cost too. TIA!:cool1:

Why not just do it before you leave home?

There are a few nicer salons off site too, not sure if you'd have transportation. I didn't have time to get my hair done before our trip one year and after the first few days we had a 'free' day where we were just hanging out at the resort. I phoned my mom (lived in the area at the time) and she suggested a great salon. I had my hair cut and colored....it was nice :).

Not sure if the barber shop does adult hair....I'm sure they do, at least mens. I'd call and just ask what their range was as far as hair cuts....they may just do basic cuts and not really 'salon' type styles.

The barbershop does do adult cuts, I am not sure how "trendy" they can get though:) Here is some info for you.

    Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Cost for a haircut is $19 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Colored hair gel, $5. Beard and mustache trims are $10. "First Haircuts" is the establishment's specialty.

Other spots for a haircut around Walt Disney World (these places take appointments):

--Contemporary Resort: American Beauty Shoppe and Captain's Chair, 407-824-3411
--Coronado Springs Resort: Casa de Belleza (House of Beauty), 407-939-3965
--Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Ivy Trellis, 407-824-2581
--Yacht and Beach Club: Periwig's, 407-934-3260

A friend got her hair done at GF and was very pleased with the stylists. I would get my hair done at the GF salon before trying the barbershop.
