Guests in same room checking in later... dining plan question

Happy Christmas!
We are staying at BLT in a 2-bedroom on points. Two members of our party will be checking in at a later date. We would all like the dining plan, but the guests checking in later would obviously not want to pay for nights that they are not there. How would that work? Could they just pay for the nights they are joining us or would they have to pay for a dining plan the length of the reservation?

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't work, you can't book partial dining plans for any of your guests. All guests registered in the room must get the same dining plan for the full length of the reservation.

However, the credits are pooled by room and not by person, so anyone registered in the room can use them. You could try pro-rating the cost with the late arrivals (but you'll need to do that on your own, Disney won't do it for you).

The PP's are correct. We had this same situation a couple of years ago and the cast member ended up making us two different reservations. It wouldn't hurt to ask, but there are no guarantees. Good Luck!

Yeah, that's a trade off people get stuck on. You can either save money by having one big room/suite and all have to have the DDP for the entire time OR you can each have the DDP for your length of stay but book separate rooms which generally costs more. Disney won't let you save money both ways.
