Here's our weekly thread to post your grocery savings. If you can, list retail price, price paid, and savings($s, and %s). Also, list how you did it, what method.

I'm just waiting for this weeks grocery game list to come up. Happy Shopping everybody!

Bumping for info. I am no longer doing gg but do regularly check with couponmom for my area. I noticed she has NO coupons from today's paper so I'm wondering if there are any inserts. That is the only reason I buy the paper so I'll save my money if there aren't any coupons. Can someone let me know please?

According to the grocery game list, that's the only coupons this week. The P&G insert, no ss or v coupons this week.

My "needs" are finally starting to come down! Still had some needs but not as many. OK, here are this weeks numbers.

Shopped at Winn Dixie using grocery game list

    Retail price: $135.05
    I paid: $93.01
    Savings: $42.04 (31%)

I'm still hoping to get my savings up to 50% but when I have to buy things that arent' on sale but are needed(like milk, bread, etc) it messes with my percentages. Oh well, I'm just happy I spent under $100 this week and my pantry/fridge/freezer are still stocked!

    How'd everybody else do?

    Here we go -

    Total - $ 472.83
    Paid - $ 257.63
    Saved - $215.20 or 46%

Spent some money because I have bunco at my house this week - So a couple of bottles on wine - they were on sale, just not at 50%! or I think I would have saved about 50% - Also, New York Strip Steak was on sale at like 50% off, so I had to stock up on that!

Next week will be much less because I have no more room in my freezer!

    Interested to hear from others

Here's my savings for the week.

    Shelf = 67.13
    coupons = 27.89
    total paid = 44.24
    Savings = 42%

I shop at HEB so my savings haven't been over 50% yet and a lot of the things on my list weren't correct like the soap. Oh and my freezer (I dont' have a chest freezer yet) is full. I can't get anything into it :rotfl: :rotfl:

    We did okay yesterday :)

We got 305.00 worth of food at Stop & Shop for 54.00 & 16.00 worth at Shaws for .54 cents....

We got the following at S&S:
20 Perdue breaded chicken which were B1G1F, and I had 1.50 coupons off of each

    15 packs of Perdue skinless/boneless chicken @ 2.49lb (about 22 pounds)

20 Ballpark Beef Franks also B1G1F w/.75 coupon doubled per package

10 Kellogg's Right Bites w/raincheck of buy 5, save 10.00, also had .55/1 coupons that doubled...

    3 Thomas's Mini Bagels 1.00/1 coupon & 50% off =.69 each

    1 Thomas's Toasting Bread 50% off = 1.69

The breaded chicken was originally 3.99, the Ballpark's were originally 3.79 & the Right Bites were originally 2.69, I think we may have got one milk in there as well...

We did split the order in two & used two 10.00/75.00 coupons found in the weekly flyer's

At Shaws we got 14 Essentia Pasta's for .75ea & 1 loaf of bread... we used the Essentia 1.00/1 coupons found in the store to get them for free & only wound up paying .54 for the bread....

The last few S&S trips have been AWESOME!!

You may already know this, but the S & S in m area will match Shaw's coupons also. I sometimes get $5 off $50, $8 off $80, etc that will span a couple of weeks. As a matter of fact, I am going to have to remember to ask if they will match anyone elses.

I know they do match others: triple coupons (up to 5)

Our Shaws isn't very generous in their 5/50's or any such value... I think what they have had lately is 7/80... so our S&S has been better... We haven't had any triples in a while, do you have triples from any local store where you are?

I use the North Attleboro store and I haven't seen triples from anyone in a while. I use to get Star Market triples (I don't even know if they are still in Rhode Island) and use them.

It's funny that I use Stop & Shop for most of my shopping. However, I hardly ever get any coupons from them - go figure. So, the Shaws discounts do come in handy.

One of my neighbors told me to ask them if the will take BJ coupons since they are right down the road. I will have to ask them next time I am in there.

Funny you mentioned about Stop N Shop & Shaws accepting each others coupons - I FINALLY figured that out just this week, DUH!

I did really well (well, not as well as chris1gill) at SNS last week - about 60% off at checkout. I had two SNS $10 off coupons though: one from flyer and one from a mailing. And I am amazed by your Shaws deal!!! I am so jealous. Must try harder this week... :flower:

Please post if you guys find out about BJ's coupons!

www.thegrocerygame.com just started a weekly walgreens "list" - and it's free! I did well last week, and we'll see what happens this week. I never shopped there before, but am trying it out for now.

    Momoftwins,
Thanks so much for the info that S&S will take competitors "end of order" coupons. I never even thought to ask that. I acually brought a 8/$50 from Pricechopper and a 8/$80 from Shaws. Since my order after coupons was over $130, she said she could actually take both. I got $16 off just by bringing those. I've really been missing out.
My total for this week were:

    Total before savings $244
    Total after $125

I did really well this week with 51% savings
    Wow. It's really worth it.

Suzct, Just a heads up, but our Shaws & S&S's will allow you to give them the 8/80 FIRST before all other coupons, and then take the regular coupons off... your stores may not allow that, but ours all do... Just an FYI...

Now I have to figure out Walgreens...

    Last week

    Retail $128.20
    Paid $91.35
    Savings $36.85 (29%)

    This week
    Retail $134.62
    Paid $87.88
    Savings $46.74 (35%)

supposedly grocery game--but I may drop it b/c I am just not using that many coupons--and I need to stop buying things "just because" and stock up on just what I use.
