Haven't seen any GWL reviews lately and planning on taking the kids next week. I have a 14,12, and 1 year old and wondering if the park is geared for all of these ages. Anyone been there recently? Rooms seem a little bit pricey, but not to outrageous. I am looking at the kid's camp suite, anyone stay in this room?

Also, there is a new waterpark at the old Niagara casino and linked to the Sheraton. It is suppose to be about 20,000 square feet bigger and was wondering how that was compared to GWL. The prices there are more resonable, but what I have gathered I would have to pay an additional $39.95 per day for my one year old as the room only includes four passes.

I just booked through the GWL ressie office and I got a lower rate calling directly than booking on-line. On-line price was $304 for their best rate and when I called I got a rate of $259 a night. I have also been told that if you book one night and depending on availability they will offer you a second night for $129. Just FYI for any looking at rates.

Just booked with expedia.ca for $265.00 taxes included for a family suite for end of July this is the best rate I have seen. Hope its worth it!!!

Our kids are 13(son) and 11(daughter). Our son's hockey team had their year end party at GWL. Everyone enjoyed it and it kept the boys and their younger siblings busy for the 6 hours we had scheduled. It is very well themed, the rooms are spacious. We did not stay in the rooms that have the bunk beds etc but our room was very nice. Would highly recommend it. Considering that you get four park tickets with your room the price isn't too bad. If you live anywhere in the Niagara area try getting a 'local' rate as that makes the rooms much cheaper. I would imagine that these types of promotions will resurface during the winter as I'm not sure they will be able to keep the hotel full. It was very busy when we were there.

My daughter's team had their party at the Casino Waterpark. This one, although, supposedly larger did not seem as large. I'm not sure that the older boys would have kept occupied at this one. The outdoor pool is much smaller at this one and really only their for playing basketball, while the outdoor pool at GWL is an actual pool. Can't speak about the rooms as we didn't stay.

All aside, your children will likely enjoy either one, as long as they realize they are not even close to as much fun as the Disney waterparks.
