I am trying to figure out what building to request for our upcoming December trip. I have read that Sago Cay and Big Pine Key are the closest to the main building, which is what I want. I have never stayed at the Grand Floridian so what are the pros and cons to these two buildings?

The GF isn't that spread out, so none of the outer buildings are that far from the main areas, but my choice would be Big Pine Key for convenience to the main building. Big Pine Key overlooks the courtyard pool and is just steps from the main building and beach pool. Sago is still close to the main building, but is located over by the marina and is closer to the far end of the main building (away from the main restaurants, shops, etc). With that said, BPK (along with Boca Chica) is my favorite outer building.
