This year we will be attending opening night at HHN ( Sept. 23 ) , will the crowds be huge??

Last year we went the last week of October and it was super crowded!! We opted to just get regular admission, but wow!

Will opening night be super crowded?

Would love to get some feedback :cool1:

Opening night should see lines of 60 minutes by the end of the night. The factor that concerns me this year is the new Rush of Fear pass which is a great deal and I think lots of people bought them...especially locals. So...there's really no telling how busy it's going to be. I think it will be busier than in years past but how much busier? Who knows.

Lots of people who go opening night...like me...are very excited HHN is back again...which is why I go every year. Plus you get to see the houses before lots of others get the chance. This will be my eighth year for HHN and my sixth going on opening night.

I´m trailing behind Metro... this will be my 4th consecutive time attending HHN during Opening Weekend...

I really hope crowds don´t get any worse... but as Metro says, whith RoF, who knows what the impact will be.. :confused3

I'm not sure Rush of Fear will change crowds. Locals could have bought a FFP last year and went opening night. It doesn't raise the incentive or the availability to go on opening night.

i feel a lil better now that you chimed in, as an avid annual passholder i can imagine what you have been throughb in the past with opening nights.

We plan on getting to Universal about 4 pm and wait in line ( we are going to buy our tickets online and have them printed out ) and hopefully it wont be too crowded once we walk in.

The scarezones look gnarly this year and i'm kinda excited about The Thing attraction. :cheer2::woohoo::laughing:

we plan on hitting the haunted houses from the back ( around Jaws/Simpson/Disaster area ) and work our way towards the front ( IF our party decides to ) , we might get caught up in the whole excitement as soon as we walk in !!:scared1:

either way we want to get into as many haunted houses as we can, then ride the rides once wait times get to around 45-60 minutes.

    ssssoooo excited!!

    Thanks! :teeth:

I think you are wise to get in line as early as possible so when the gates open, you can go right in. I will caution you about something. Since there are metal detectors outside and everyone must go through them, make sure you aren't carrying anything that would set it off. It's not a big deal but it can slow the line down some.

    Otherwise...have a great time...I know I will! ;)

    omg yes!!

I forgot about the metal detectors. Gonna have the wife leave her purse in the car and just take her ID. and my keys i will have to have in my hand as i walk through...

Gonna be awesome!! Going to take my video camera and get as much video as i can ( assuming i don't get the crap scared out of me  )

If you get in line at four, you're going to be waiting 2.5 hours to get in. Sometimes they do let people in early though.
