Guess what, we have never been to an In-N-Out, maybe I should make a note of it for 2016!![]()
I would definitely put it on the list for 2016. There is was not far from Disneyland (since you're there for a week), it's just up Harbor Blvd one block North of the 91 freeway. I'm sure you could also find one on your way from Anaheim to San Diego as well. They have a secret menu (which is really not so secret), http://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu.aspx I get the protein style burger, it's quite tasty.
Seen what?
There had been a tornado out on the ocean, clearly visible from the bar, but we had been on the other side of the hotel.
But we did see it lateron on TV.

Your pics are making me want to be in Key West right now! Gorgeous!

Relaxing on the balcony sounds like a nice way to enjoy the last evening. I don't blame Tom for pouring those drinks down the drain. They looked kind of gross to me.![]()
I agree with Alison!! I already scouted out all the In-N-Outs around our route through California!!![]()
I LOVE five guys. Their burgers are awesome and the fries are to die for. I could go for some right now....but not on my diet.
Woah! You guys DEFINITELY need to visit an In-N-Out in 2016, like make that first on your list! It's so incredibly fresh and delicious. They also have a 'secret' menu (although not too secret anymore since everyone knows about it!) but you can get animal style with grilled onions
faint
and animal style fries with melted cheese, grilled onions and their secret sauce...

Special French Toast served with Bourbon Pecan Maple Sauce. Can you say sweet? Yes, but so delicious.
That's a cute "just married" beach van. Fun idea.
Those bridges are so long! Glad you are making good time though.
Breakfast looked delicious!!!
So I was going to say, these look delicious! and then I scrolled down...
UGH! THIS! So a few months ago I recently discovered 'Overnight Creme Brulee French Toast'. I'm actually prepping it tonight so we can have for a lazy Saturday morning. And oh my gosh, is it absolutely delicious and so easy to make. I'll come back and post a link in case you ever want to try it!
This is absolutely the cutest thing ever!
We drove through some semi scary looking areas in Ft. L too last Fall. Actually where we stayed didn't look like the best area either, but not as bad as some areas we drove through. I think our area was safe, but did have a few run down looking buildings not to far away.
Your meals at 88 looked good especially Tom's crabcake sandwich !! How rude that Front Desk Clerk was !!! Did you report her ?? Glad you found a big Publix !!
I'm sorry you had bad luck with FL, we actually had some really good luck with it last year. We took a Disney cruise out of Miami and stayed the first two nights in FtL before the cruise and had a band conference that we came back to the same neighborhood when we got back. We stayed at the Extended Stay I believe on 17th Street, but the conference was at the Embassy Suites just a few doors up the street. There was a wonderful little fish restaurant that originally Fran thought she got food poisoning from, but it turns out it was the beginning of the whole medication fiasco that I have been covering in my latest TR. That was just the start where her last medication went bad on her, which is why she thought she had food poisoning, it was really a medication reaction. So the restaurant is still good. I can look up the name if you plan to go back, the neighborhood was good and it was nice bunch of restaurants.
You guys find the best food! It always looks so delicious!
Sorry you got the hotel with bad service in the not so great part of town. At least it was only for the night.
You should buy stock in Krispy Kreme!
