Gatorland??

Does anyone know how far gatorland is from WDW?? We have heard of it and thought this would be a nice break. any comments??

We went last year and the kids loved it. We got lost getting there so I can't tell you exactly how far it is, sorry. It is kind of a hokey place but that is why we liked it. It is very relaxing with no crowds. There are a couple of alligator shows and a snake show. It only took us a couple hours to see everything. There are usually coupons to save on admission in all the coupon books around so grab one before you go.

Eazyrider, if you can find the Osceola Parkway route out of WDW, Gatorland is easy to find. OPway runs out of WDW from Animal Kingdom past Wide World of Sports and then parallels Highway 192. It is a toll road so you will need to pay around $1.50 each way, but after about eight miles it intersects with the Orange Blossom Trail (Highway 441), where you turn left, and Gatorland is up about a mile on the right hand side. It should take around 20 minutes max and is a great place to visit, too.

We went to Gatorland last month and likedit. It`s pretty laid back compared to Disney etc. and isn`t very big. We spent about three hours there and felt like we saw most of it.
I thought it was funny, because the same guy does all of the shows.
You should check out their website and print off a coupon. It`s not very expensive to get in, but every bit helps.
My kids loved getting their pictures taken with the baby alligator and snake around them. For around $6. the kids got a picture of themselves on a key chain. Cheap souvenier.
