    Hello all ---

We have a day to spend in Ft. Lauderdale after our cruise. We are looking for any fun, yummy family restaurant recommendations. Something on / near the beach would be great.

H2O Cafe is great and right on the beach. Ask for David, he is a DISer, but can't remember his username right now

We enjoyed Quarterdeck by Las Olas and Seabreeze Blvd. Also can get a coupon off of www.restaurant.com

Don't miss taking the water taxi, you can catch it across A1A at the Pier 66, takes you up to Las Olas. Can go over to 15th Street Fishery and sit on the deck alongside the river and inter-coastal. Shirttail Charlie's is up the New River just past Las Olas for a real local flavor, all tables are basically benches again along the water. Most water taxi drivers will point out the famous homes and sights, like the point on the river where Tarzan was filmed. My advice stay situated around the river, shops, bars, restaurants all somewhere along the way.
