Do the refrigerators in the rooms at the Poly get cold enough to safely store milk and yogurt in them? I just read some reviews that said people had problems with them not getting cold. Trying to get my grocery order together and not sure if I should bother with dairy. Thanks.

    They can.

There is an issue in several of the WDW resorts with the fridges sitting in the cabinets - they don't get good ventilation in there and have trouble keeping temperatures optimally cool.

If you can let the cabinet door stay open enough to let the fridge breathe, it will be no problem. We've actually gotten ice in our milk before in WDW fridges, it was so cold.

We had a redone room in March and our fridge would not stay cold, just cool. Our bellman told us to leave the door covering the fridge cabinet open to help it stay cold, but to call if it never got cold and they would replace it. He said they had a lot of complaints. We could get it to stay cold by keeping the door open, but it was difficult to keep it open (it blocked the way to the bathroom) and someone would usually shut it out of habit on the way out the door. It didn't bother us much since we just had water in there, but we would have ruined milk if that had been what we had in there.

The last time we went, 5 long years ago...my Dh took the fridge out of the cabinet and put it on the floor next to the dresser on the window side. We didn't have a problem after that!
