After our recent cruise we noticed my son had posted to FB while we were in Nassau. We had told the kids to put their iPhones in airplane mode after we left Port Canaveral so we'd not get international charges. I asked my son about his post while in Nassau and he said the terminal there had free wifi. Finger crossed when we get our Verizon bill. Anyone have experience with this?

Great to know. I was wondering about about that. How strong is the signal? Des it reach the ship?

Side note. Why do people have to specify that they have an IPhone? I always just say phone, but IPhone users have to be sure to put that I in front of it. :rotfl:

Signal is not very strong, definitely won't reach the ship, and its not strong enough to do anything bandwith heavy like Skype or Facetime. I used the free wifi there last year and was barely able to use Facebook to do a brief status update and check email but that was it.
