The current policy is that you can pick up package tickets up to 3 days prior to your package check in date. The details on how to do this are in post #15, section I of this ticket sticky thread...

Thanks for the info! I'll check out the link!

Hahah nope , i live in Winston Salem......
I would definitely do photopass... Just be sure to look for the photographers and ask for magic shots!

Thought I would add a non disney pic for fun since anything goes...
My best friend and I at Garden of the Gods a few weeks back. Ill post some DIS pics next week!!!

No way - I live in greensboro! Looks like there are quite a few North Carolinians on here.

Getting really excited but still holding breath - I hate telling my son's teacher that we are taking him out of school. He goes to a public montessori school. The good part is that it is Montessori - none of the kids are doing the same thing at the same time so catching up isn't an issue for the most part. We haven't had issues before but he was in 2nd grade last time we went i.e. hadn't started all of the crazy testing yet. His make up work back then was to do a presentation on animation which made going to HS even more fun.

Just checked even though I am not switching again, there is a royal room river view available with FD at POR for nov 11-16. It's tempting but I just don't want to do the split stay, maybe change rooms, maybe be able to get tickets early for Sunday. So we are sticking with AoA.

I have to say that I am still so frustrated at this free dining situation. I have tried every day, sometimes 3 times a day, to get my dates extended with no luck. I am currently booked POR (AB section-we have 5 plus one under 3) for November 18-23, but really want November 17-27. Oddly enough, I found the dates I need through another supplier, but cannot get it through Disney. I've emailed, spoken with supervisors, still nothing. Really want to book through Disney so I can get the extra points on my DV, use Disney gift cards, and take advantage of 0% financing for 6 months.
Ok, vent over, thanks for listening!

Since this kinda has to do with free dining.... >_>

I have a split stay at POR. I'm staying the first night with a room only reservation then I have a 6 night stay with tickets and FD after that. My question is... If I buy my tickets with my second reservation will they let me use them on the first day I get there? Or would I have to buy one day tickets to use on my first day? I would like to introduce them to MK first on the first night but I don't want to add over 400 to my bill >_<

I think a lot of people doing FD are going to be in the same boat. I have room only first night too and after reading up as much as I can... Here and on other blogs/ websites, I've decided to take the stress-free path - I'll probably take a shot at it, but I don't want to potentially start my trip arguing with a cm or traveling all over the place to get our tickets. Plan A for us actually is to use the first day as an opportunity to do things outside of the parks that we normally don't think we have time to do. Look on Cheshire figment's ticket stickie... It spells it out and even gives you instructions that you can give to a cm who doesn't know how to do it. By the way... Pretty much every post where I've read about doing this on other websites refers back to Cheshire figment's post.

You can use your DV to pay, no matter who you book through and still get your perks... I think??:confused3

So after an hour waiting at the AAA office on Saturday we were able to have FD applied to our reservation at the Contemporary. We'd already saved $288 by booking through AAA initially, but the FD saved us another $220.

Thanks again to the board for the great exchange of information.

I'm having planning withdrawals. Now that my trip is booked, FD is confirmed, MNSSHP tickets ordered, PP+ ordered, Behind the Seeds Tour booked, ADR's made, dining calculator analyzed, WL thread fully read, and Universal tix ordered, I really have nothing left to do. :confused3 Well, I do still need to book reservations for the cats to be boarded. Then I guess I just wait until hopefully I'm told we get Magic Bands.

I was making a mental list this morning of things I still need to do:

  • Call and request bed rails for my niece
  • keep checking for BOG ADR (2 picky eaters in our party so may just do lunch)
  • decide if I should buy trip insurance? going 10/19-26 and the only issue would be weather related which we would handle through the airline and Disney
  • On line check in or not? we are requesting connecting or adjoining rooms. Will we have a better chance if I don't do OLCI
  • add preferred CS spots to my spreadsheet so when the kids are hungry, we can find a place easiy.
  • Oh ya- make a reservation to board the cat, didn't have that on the list. Poor kitty won't be happy.

Haha! Me too! And we're keep it a secret from our kids so I'm REALLY about to lose it! lol

I don't mind at all! That shirt came from Target, and it was a medium. It is a little big, though. I usually wear a small (sometimes a medium) from the Disney Store. I'm on the smaller side up top, so if you have much of a chest, I would go with the bigger size. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Oh! It's practically identical to the one at the Disney store so assumed that's where you got it! Thanks!

I'm still a little nervous about telling my kid's teachers too! They are only missing three days, but our school corp is really cracking down on attendance!

Ok question! I have a BOG ressie at 6:30 on a MVMCP night but we are not planning on attending the party that night (we planned another night) will this be a problem?

We have the same situation, but only with MNSSHP. I have just been told that when you finish dinner, you will be directly escorted to the main gate by a CM.:thumbsup2

Ok Great! I've got no problem with that as long as I get to eat my BOG meal! Lol! Thanks!

I know I'll still get some perks, but will I still get the amount I would if I had booked through Disney? And, I can't use Disney gift cards to pay through this supplier. Oh, this is so irritating!!

Hey folks! I just wanted to share an interesting article written by the Magic Man! Disney sent him a survey regarding deal-seeking behavior. Did any of you also get this survey???? If you did, please share thoughts.:thumbsup2
