When (if?) they offer free dining, is it just for 2 people in a room regardless of how many are on the reservation and in the room, or is the DDP free for all people in the room? If you snag free dining and have 4 people (adults) on the reservation (paying the extra room $s for the extra people on the reservation, of course) would everyone - all 4 people - get free dining or is there a limit per reservation, per room? Thanks!

No, it is for all individuals over age 3 in a room, subject to occupancy rules for the specific too.

All 4 adults would get Free Dining.

Everyone on the reservation would get the free dining, over the age of 3. The only limit is the room occupancy.

"Aging up" means registering the child as older. It works for free dining for some, because all they have to do is pay for the higher category of tickets.

Note that 3rd and each additional adult in a single room incurs an additional nightly fee (~$15/night) at the resort.

That said, this plays right into the question of whether or not free dining is a good offer compared to other discounts. The rule of thumb is it's a better deal the lower the grade of resort (i.e., Value vs. Moderate vs. Deluxe) and the more people per room. To wit:

* 4 adults in a Value or Moderate? Almost certainly a good deal (if a bit cramped).
* 2 adults at a Deluxe? Try for a room discount instead.

Unless you stay in a villa or suite, you will have to pay the extra adult charge for the 2 extra. $10 per person per night at value, $15 at moderate, $25 at deluxe.

Clarification on the "extra adult" surcharge rule - that applies to actual adults (18+) only. "Juniors" (10-17) count as adults for tickets and dining, but as children for hotel occupancy.

I've noticed that the cabins don't charge extra for over 2 adults. Does that mean they're never included in the Free Dining offer?

Cabins at FW are often included in the free dining offer (considered a moderate resort). They are treated somewhat like the value family suites, which also don't charge extra for more than 2 adults. With FW classed as a moderate resort, however, anyone who snags free dining at a cabin also gets the regular plan free, not the QS plan. There aren't many cabins, so you probably need to be lucky to get one on a free dining offer.

Campsites, however, are never included in the offer.
