I'm also going in November (10-16) I only picked this week because I figured it was my best bet to get free dining.Touring plans show this to be a very slow week with park crowds around 1.5 to a 3.And since this falls after Jersey week I figured I had a good shot.Hopeing for the best.

Just curious. Will anyone actually be calling on Thursday on the very very very remote chance of a visa release? I think it's Monday but ya never can tell this year. The summer offer didn't drop til Tuesday and visa still released Thursday. But regardless, I'm betting some folks call about this everyday. :thumbsup2

I'm not a cardholder, but was planning on calling the 9th first thing in the am..also was going to go online and see which I can get to first, but not really sure how to go about the online process. I'm going to try and figure that out first!! Also trying to get my TA to try and get in for me and see what she can do...crossing my fingers to keep the LM room!!

I'm considering it. My oldest daughter is OBSESSED with the Little Mermaid right now so I'm really hoping I can get one of the coveted AoA rooms. Don't want to come back here on Thursday and see that they've sold out and I didn't get one because I didn't call.

Now this is an interesting thought!! It still dropping on Thursday prior. Sounds like I may need to make a phone call on Thursday! Has a visa discount ever not started on a Thursday? Instead of X days prior it would be the Thursday prior no matter what. Crap I wish I could see historical data!

IF the sale for DV holders is coming out a week a head of time, we will know tomorrow, I'm sure. Someone ALWAYS knows in advance.
I don't think there is any benefit to calling if no one has announced it here. If the Disboarders don't know about it...the CMs will for sure not know about it.
I don't think they've ever released a DV sale that far ahead of a regular sale, though.

They haven't, that's quite a bit ahead, but I thought I'd throw that out the for the hard core folks here and there.

I know that in 2007 or 2009 (thinking '07), the DV discount was released on Mon and the the GP on Thurs. I'm still betting on that...but if you hear otherwise, give us a heads up tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Earlier someone spoke of Touring Plans. I was on there a couple of days ago to see if crowd levels have changed since FD rumor. Before, every day of our trip was 1-1.3, now some days are up to 4.8. Any thoughts as to whether this Sept will see higher crowds compared to past Sept's with FD?

I don't see why crowds would be any different than last September, but that's just me. I've grown to be good at figuring out where the crowds will be, so I can be somewhere else...I just enjoy myself and have a great time. I've even been during two hurricanes, no biggie....ahh the wind blowing in your hair and....ok, that's enough of that. :smokin:

Actually I wouldn't mind a little hurricane too. We were there 2 days after one and during one and we practically had the whole place to ourselves.:duck: Good Times. However, on a more serious note (not that hurricanes are not serious), my thinking was that because FD window is so tight and the outlook for further offers later in season is not looking as promising as years past, that more people will go in Sept?:confused3

Just for kicks I checked Touring Plan's crowd levels and noticed that Sept. 2 (Labor Day, and the supposed first day of FD) has a crowd level of 8 (on a scale from 1-10). The crowds do drop drastically after that, but seems weird they would start FD on such a busy day. I suppose a lot of people would just be checking in on that day, and not going to a park.

Hi! I am sooooo super excited! We have been waiting for this! :yay: We are going from Sept 10-18 and have ressies for the CR in a standard gardenwing room. (We have tix and dining plan aded to ressie now.) This is our first time staying on property and eligible for free dining. I want to make sure the cr is included in fd, I thought I read on other thread that it was but I want to be sure. We really want to stay there because we are traveling with 3 young children and our youngest DD will only be 8 months, so we thought staying somewhere connected to the monorail would be our best bet. However, I was wondering if anyone knew if the cr had many rooms available for fd? I would love to stay at the poly but honestly we our already at our max staying at the cr. The rates a night are so expensive! We would rather stay a few more days in cr then lose a night or two and stay at poly. BTW we are Disney Visa cardholders. Since I have never done this I want to make sure I fully understand before May 6 so I'm not confused or surprised by anything! :)

Thanks everyone for all of your help and info! :goodvibes
