The NEW FP system allows for 1, 2, or 3 pre-booked FPs. As soon as whatever is pre-booked is used, the guest can schedule for another park and then hop over.
The FP system now benefits hoppers. Book only 1 in the 1st park and then use the app to book 2 in the next park.
Yes. As soon as you access the FP line for your last, or only, FP at Park #1, you can book for Park #2. You don't have to wait until you exit the ride.Thank you for your help. If I understand you correctly, the key is that I cannot do it from home ahead of time, but I CAN do it using the app on the very day I am planning to hop while I am in the first park. Is that correct?

You don't have to Cancel when rebooking a new park or when you are hopping. What steps do you have to take in the app to do this? (Ex, when I changed all my MK FPs to Epcot a few weeks ago I had to cancel the originals before rebooking a different park.) Curious how this shows up when choosing a second park day-of. Thanks!
To clarify what I did yesterday - I booked Spaceship Earth & Soarin' at Epcot (that was all). As soon as I scanned SE, I was able to book Kali for AK, even though I still had the Soarin' FPP in the meantime. I was a bit leery that it would go away or not work when we got there but Soarin' continued to show up in my FPP's, along with the later Kali, and both worked when I used them.
Correct. If you're not certain in advance if you plan to hop back or might just stay at Epcot, you could book 2 at Epcot (ie something like Spaceship Earth & Character Connection) and then just cancel them once you scan at FEA. Or if you're certain you're returning, just keep the one for FEA booked. Either way, once you've scanned (and cancelled if necessary), just use the + button on the app (or Add FastPass if using a mobile browser). If you try to modify one you already have in a park it will limit you to within that park. So, for hopping, you just go into the app and it allows you to choose your park/attractions despite which park your first FP is in? (Sorry - I'm confused!)
My situation - we're returning to Epcot on our MK just to ride FEA on opening day at 1-2 pm. Once we check in for it, I can hop on the app and setup two additional FPs at MK for that evening, correct?

But using the + button, the app will act the same as if you were scheduling a FPP for the first time - ask you the party, the date, and the park. Since you've already used just 1 of your 3 at that point, once you book your first at MK it will show that you're still eligible for one more and allow you to just choose "Same Day" to quickly pick the next one.
It is dependent upon what you want to accomplish.I'm so confused with how to strategically use the FPs. I know their purpose, but can someone tell me in a nutshell how to best use them? i.e. a general rule about how many in one day and at 2 different parks?
On a few of our days, we're doing 1/2 day (all morning) at one park and then hopping over to another park for the other 1/2 day (all night). i.e., one day we'll be at Hollywood Studios until 1:00 p.m. and then hopping over to Animal Kingdom for the rest of the day. Can we book FPs ahead of time for 3 in Hollywood Studios and 3 in Animal Kingdom? It is dependent upon what you want to accomplish.
3 FP rides in Park #1 and then hop? 1 FP in Park #1 and then hop?
Are either of the parks Tiered? If you gave an example of one of your day's plans, then others will offer advice.
No, you'll only have the initial 3 pre-booked FPs.On a few of our days, we're doing 1/2 day (all morning) at one park and then hopping over to another park for the other 1/2 day (all night). i.e., one day we'll be at Hollywood Studios until 1:00 p.m. and then hopping over to Animal Kingdom for the rest of the day. @marciemi ~ does this work with 3 pre-booked FPs as @cpdisney will have?If I booked fp#1 Safari, #2 EE, #3 Kali, then after I tap my first fp I can book soarin for later the same day (if available) and still use 2 &3 ? That would be amazing. Thanks for your help
