Hey all! This is something totally random, but I had to share with people who would understand. I recently had a death in the family. It was an aunt of mine who had no kids/family of her own. Because of this I've been asked to handle her estate. She was the recipient of many other relatives' stuff over the years as they have passed. She was not one to throw anything away, which means there was a ton of stuff to go through, including thousand upon thousands of photos. As I was going through all the relatives' stuff I stumbled across a pristine guide of DL from 1963 along with a park map from 1964. It's the size of a coffee table and very cool! This is before SW, HM, PoC or even French Quarter. They refer to the last three as coming attractions along with Edison Square and more. Very cool to see. As I continued to sort through old photo albums, sadly tossing most in the trash, I flipped through one and stumbled across a photo of one of my Aunt's friends with Walt Disney himself in front of the Monsanto Hall of Chemistry in 1962. What a bizarre find! Especially when you consider how many photos were in the house. I know there must be a million photos of Walt with people in the parks from back then but I just had to share.
