    We're getting really excited about our first Magic cruise in September, and I at first I was a little hesitant about the formal night thing...Wasn't sure if I wanted to get all dressed up. But the closer it gets, the more EXCITED :Pinkbounc I get about formal night!!! I don't have the occasion to get dressed up too often, so I can't wait to get all "prettied up"!!! princess:

    That brings me to my request...would some of you mind sharing your families' formal night pics? ::yes:: I would LOVE to live through your experiences for now, since I don't get to go for 2 more months! :hourglass

    Thanks!

    These are my kids at formal night...we didn't take pics of all of us, just bought them (and soon I'll learn how to put THOSE in the computer...LOL).

    Probably the one most excited about dressing up, was my 10 yr old DS...who has now decided he wants to wear suits when he grows up (actually has asked to wear the tux to school next year....ummmm...no).

    :rotfl: That's so funny!!

    Beautiful kids!!!! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

    Tell DS he does look awefully hansome in his suit, and just encourage the whole "suit when he grows up" idea! I'm thinking something like, oh I don't know...doctor, lawyer...etc. Know what I mean??? ::yes::

    Thanks for the pics!

    Yea, I'm hoping the "suit when I grow up" means he'll follow dad into management or medicine or such....not waiter or movie theater attendant!

    Thanks that pic was taken in the atrium...we had to take our shoes off and I couldn't wear my glasses they said the white background would reflect.

    steverog,

    Was your son's tux a rental through the company DCL uses, or did you buy it off eBay, or ... ?

    I'm considering tuxes for my two boys on our next cruise, but I'm wondering what the most economical way to do that would be.

    I know you can buy men's tuxes for a really reasonable price on eBay, and I'm sure it's the same for boys'. You can buy a tux on eBay for about the same price as renting one on the ship...For a grown-up, this seems like the best plan because you can wear it again for future cruises and other occasions. But for a boy, you may be better off just renting if he's still growing.

    I've never done either, so I'm not sure about the specifics.

    Can you purchase these photos in packages? If so, does anyone mind sharing the cost? I really love the white background!

    That's what I'm thinking. Since they are still growing, there is a very good chance this would be the only time they wear them. So, if it is noticeably cheaper to buy, great. Otherwise, I might as well rent and skip the hassle of having to pack it.
