DH loves canned sardines. I can't stand the sight or smell of them! :faint: But DH is very respectful and will eat them far, far away from me!

So, all food then, right? :rotfl2: Hey, at least you're saving on electricity what with not needing a fridge :cool1:

Okay, I'll play - green bean cassarole :scared:

I would die of starvation in your house. Thats pretty much what i eat daily! Lol.

Wow really? Fruit? Do you have kids? What if they want fruit?

I have banned canned sardines cause they look nasty and smell even worse...and shrimp. Shrimp really freaks me out. I mean A LOT. Shrimp is no different to me than the worms you see in the ground. Nasty little suckers.

As a vegan I would ban all animal products. Sometimes my pesky DH slips them through the front door though.:rotfl2: I can't complain to much though as he happily eats all my vegan cooking and baking:thumbsup2

As far a fruit goes we would have a housefull of sad people if fruit was banned. We eat all kinds of it in huge quantities. I have to go to the grocery store 2-3 times a week to re-stock on fruits and veggies. We keep frozen fruits for smoothies and "back-up" when we run low on fresh.

Pretty much, anything that, if you hold its head under water, doesn't drown. Maybe, just maybe, if someone could come up with some kind of seafood that didn't smell like second-hand fish, we might be convinced to reassess our position, but that's just not very likely.

The only other food that I'd like to ban from my presence entirely would be escargot. It's not that I don't like the things, because I've never eaten 'em (and never will) so I'm not qualified to have an opinion. But the one and only time I've ever been in sight of someone eating a half dozen of the little boogers, well, -- I was so revolted that I left most of a great meal sitting on the plate.

Wow, fruit is an interesting one! Are you averse to the smell, taste, texture, or what?

While I wouldn't actually ban something from our house I am going to insist that he kisses me bye before he eats pork rinds next time!

If I asked DH he'd probably say mushrooms. I love them and he has almost a visceral response to them.

All of the above. Though I do drink a large glass of orange juice every morning. It's all I can do. No idea where the anxiety/fear/hang up comes from.

The only thing that my DH eats that I don't particularly like are pickled herring and gefilte fish. Even then, I will eat the gefilte fish over Passover with a hefty dollop of horseradish.

DS would agree with you but with vegetables instead of fruit. About twice a year he'll eat raw carrots in ranch and that's it!

I wouldn't ban any food from my house. Although licorice and pork rinds would be my picks. :)

I would ban any fatty meats and yucky things such as tofu and soybean anything. I like a healthy mix of food such as lean meats and chicken, veggies and fruit, a little cheese and nuts and Oreos. (My downfall ;) )

    I'm weird, I KNOW it.

    Ban List:

    Lettuce
Any Peanut variety (unless its peanut butter, I actually like peanut butter)
    Sauerkraut
Cheese Fondue (my mother used to make this at home and I'd practically have to leave the house it smelled so bad)
    Celery

    :crazy2:

Nothing is banned, but if I would ban something it would be sardines and tuna. The smell is horrible.

My DS13 hates the smell of onions raw or cooked. If I forget to remind him before I start chopping or sauteeing them he gets really mad. For YEARS he's claimed that the smell of onions gives him a headache. Maybe it's true:confused3 He will eat them if they are cooked into something in really small peices though.

My kids don't like fruit at all, except bananas and only 2 of them like bananas. Come to think of it, I don't have any use for fruit either. Veggies love, but fruit, nope I can't stand all the sugar, makes me crave other sweet stuff.

Well, it just so happens that TODAY is quite some day!! ;) Do tell, please - inquiring minds want to know. :listen:

I can't think of anything that hasn't already been banned - the cracker "Chicken In a Biscuit". :crazy2: My dad used to eat an entire box in one sitting. I'd have to leave the room because that smell would just turn my stomach.

Ok - thought of another one. Although it's not really "banned", I only buy it when DS pleads for a box... CheezIts (sp?). Yuck, yuck, yuck!
