When you travel to a different state, do you think of a dish that is a "must try" because the region is known for it? I wonder what specialties all 50 states are known for? These are a few that come to mind for me:

    NY- Pizza

    ME- Lobster

    NC- BBQ

FL-I am a displaced Floridian so I always get things I get here. Publix subs top my list. Then I always get Checkers fries and go to Tarpon and eat some delicious Chicken Souvlaki.

    I totally misunderstood the thread.:lmao:

    Ok, lets try again...

    NY-Pizza and Chinese food
    LA-Gumbo, red beans and rice
    Washington-Apples
    Vermont-Cheese or maple.....ANYTHING

Gosh, I can't think of one for Michigan. Not a prepared food anyway.

I know Michigan grows a lot of apples and cherries though, and makes a lot of wine. :)

Don't know about ARK, but for MS--the delta is known for farm raised catfish and bbq. the southern half for shrimp and oysters.

There are some foods I haven't heard associated with states before and some foods I forgot. Neat.

I haven't had a pepperoni roll before. Sounds good!
