Have you ever ridden in up with captain? You just have to ask the cast members if you can help steer the ship. They allow one family up there per trip, you get to sign the captains log and they used to give out a certificate. It's a fantastic view of the park and you get to chat with the captain. Of course when my kids were little they would actually "steer the ship" and "push the button that would kick the guy downstairs to tell him to do his speach" and they would get to ring the bell.

:cool1: I'm so excited for it!

 I know how you feel! I haven't done the Riverboat in ages!

We just tend to skip over it. I honestly can't remember the last time we did it!

Food is my favorite thing to write about! I've seen the Dapper Dans out, but I've never really stopped and listened.

Something tells me that my brother did that years ago...but I could be mixing that up with another memory :rotfl:

Thanks! I think he's super adorable! I've gotten a lot of PINs this year, and I wasn't really planning on going, so it was driving me crazy! Absolutely love F&W, totally worth it if you can go!

Glad you enjoyed them! I love the MK at Halloween, love the way it's decorated!

And just for good measure, another puppy picture :goodvibes

Remember the store at DTD that had nothing but Pet stuff? I tried looking for something for "a puppy" (didn't know what we'd get yet) last month when I was down for my brother's graduation, but I didn't find anything!

Yes, I remember it. They've moved it to the "Pooh & Hunny" store in a corner. They carry a line of dog stuff at the Emporium and also at MouseGears.

Thanks! Now I know where to look :goodvibes Speaking of pups, he's currently passed out on the floor as I watch the end of the Hockey game. Every now and then he pops his head up, checks that I'm still there, then goes right back to sleep. TOO CUTE!

I'd be worried that since Wendy is older than Bandit, she'd be a cougar...wouldn't that cause some serious identity crisis?! :rotfl:

Hey! I tagged along on a PTR or TR in the past with you...and you followed some of mine...I fell off the face of the earth, as I do from time to time when in a Disney Depression...but I'm back (for the time being)!

Annndd..going on the exact same dates as you, the 2-9th! So far your PTR has been super helpful to me... since we're going at the same times, maybe i'll just do exactly what you do. You can take care of the hard stuff for me!
Disney trip, and I gained weight back while at Disney, but only 2 lbs! All the walking is so good and burns so many calories. While at Disney, I don't count points. I just ate really really well up until I got there. Just a sidenote- Weight Watchers keeps you away from greasy food...you will have a few rummblies in your tummy if you eat tons of greasy food when you get there..i learned the hard way last year!

I'm going to attempt to keep up with your PTR!!

Welcome back! I remember you :goodvibes How exciting that you're going at the same time!

I know what you mean about greasy foods...a few years ago when I was in school, I realized I was eating a lot of chicken fingers for lunch, so I decided to cut out all fried foods. Then I went and had some like a month later and I got sooooo sick to my stomach! Ugh, thanks for the reminder though, I forgot all about that!

I'm so anxious for tomorrow. I heard somewhere...though I can't remember where, so my brain could be making this up...that the F&W info will be updated tomorrow! :cool1:

Plus, Southwest is due to release their fares for December! I'm looking for a cheap flight, right now it's AirTran down (at 5:46 out of Rochester, so I could work that day and head to the airport immediately!) and JetBlue back. But sometimes Southwest makes it worth it to drive to Buffalo for the flight. So I'm waiting to see what happens!

Oh, and I booked breakfast at Kouzzina for my December trip. I've read some mixed reviews though, so I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. :confused3

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: for some great airfare deal. We're flying AirTran and I'm already regretting it (they've changed our return flight twice already). I've not read a mixed bag on Kouzzina too.

I love that the pup was sleeping while you were watching the hockey game. my pup was not...I think I scared her several times with all my yelling. ;)

I've heard this about AirTran from numerous people. They fly out of Atlantic City here and they had ok fares but this is what stopped me from booking with them. I've never heard a good thing! I hope you get some good deals for your Dec trip. Can you take JetBlue roundtrip instead of switching airlines?

You know I've never had a problem with AirTran?? They've changed our flight times before, but it's always been within 5-10 minutes of the original flight, nothing much. I've heard complaints about AirTran from people, but I've always wondered why I don't see it? I guess I'm just lucky! (Knock on wood!)

The only reason I'd switch airlines is because to get DOWN, JetBlue has some terrible times. Like their last flight out on Thursday is at 3pm. And if I took a morning flight, I wouldn't get in until 2. They switched their 7am flight out of Rochester they used to have, otherwise I'd be leaving Friday morning round-trip on JetBlue!!

Perhaps it varies on destination? We were originally booked to be back home by 2 in the afternoon so I could relax for work the next day. Then it changed to 6 p.m. arrival--not too bad. Then the latest change has us now arriving home at 9:45 p.m. (and it's a two hour ride from the airport home) so I ended up taking the next day off of work so I can recuperate. What frosts me is that it is no longer a non-stop flight; I hate flying so having to land in Georgia and then take off an hour later again is not making me happy. :scared1:

I thought I read that if they change the time at all, you can call and either get a refund or book yourself on a different flight. Have you looked to see if any of the other flights get in earlier?
