Flamingos in Epcot, am I nuts?

Since July of 2005 I have been to wdw seven times, and I have never seen flamingos at Epcot. However, between 1998 and 2000 I went to WDW three times, and I have a clear memory of very pretty, bright pink flamingos at Epcot. When I went back for the first time in July 2005 I remember looking for them. Does anyone else remember these? Am I nuts?

I have a picture of myself with the flamingos in EPCOT from 1986 , they were walking around the waters edge by a bridge- they were the first I had seen "in person" so I definately remember them too!

we were just talking about that on sat. my dd who just turned 16 is on tape saying "these are pink framingos" she was about 3. we look for them also every year and there not there. we use to see them when you go into world showcase, turn left and theres a small bridge on the left not to far down. the were in the water and on the sand.

yay, someone else remembers the flamingos too! everytime I pass the area they used to be kept it seems so empty and lonely. I also remember they used to have parrots over by Mexico for a short time!

You aren't crazy (at least about the flamigos). I miss them too. At least I have some great photos of them.

DH and I were discussing a number of small things that are no longer in the park that we really miss on Saturday as we were walking throught that area.

I think they've moved the pink flamingos to Animal Kingdom. I remember them being at Epcot too - right next to the Epcot Pavilion under the bridge.

If I remember correctly, they were over near the former Odyssey restaurant.

I do remember them as well. I tend to agree with the previous poster, that they're probably in the Animal Kingdom now...as there are many to be seen on the safari.

Oh I remember the flamingos and the parrots too! We actually have a picture of one of the parrots on my dad's arm. He just climbed on him and wanted his neck scratched. We snapped a pic and then Dad put him back in the tree.

Yup - they were there (have pix too) and yup, they're not there anymore. At least they weren't in December.

Correct. I always looked for them and asked a cast member when we noticed they were missing. They were moved over to AK. I believe the answer was better diet and environment.

I forgot all about the flamingos until you mentioned them. Yeh, you are right there was some flamingos. I don't recall any parrots though.

I was thinking during my trip in October that the flamingos by Mexico were gone.
