I'm just wondering if there are people who could share their experiences with bringing an air mattress for the fifth person to sleep on? I understand that house keeping will only provide towels for four people but is there anything else to stop you from doing this?

Member Services will not accept a reservation for 5 in a studio, so you would not get a room key for the 5th person.

I believe the only way they'll allow 5 in a studio is if one of them is under 3yo. Other than that the max in a studio is 4.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe I should have mentioned the specific five people, myself, DW, DD14, DS9, DS7. If my DS9 and DS7 didn't have their own keys, I don't think I'd care.

There are ramifications to not having a room key, which is also your resort ID.

Persons without a resort ID will not be able to access EMH at the parks, and persons not on the reservation will not be able to board the DME bus. So, right there you lose two of the major benefits of staying on property. And yes, they do check everyone's ID, even kids.

Depending on the resort, you may also run into trouble at the pool. If you're staying at BCV, one member of your party won't be able to use SAB. VWL does random resort ID checks at their pool, and I've heard that BWV does as well.

Really, it's not worth the hassle and loss of privileges. Also, five in a studio would be very uncomfortably cramped. There's very little room to spare once the sofabed is opened, so your fifth person would be sleeping in front of the bathroom door.

You'll be crawling all over one another. You need at least a one bedroom, we only do a two bedroom when we have five.

Ok, thanks for all the feedback, sounds like I should plan on BLT/AKV one bedroom then? The rest of them only list four people even for a one bedroom.

DVC Occupancy discussions are limited to this thread, where you may continue if you wish.

    Thanks.
