very sore and very huge bruise on backside but nothing is broken. Dr prescribed all kinds of pain medications, pain patches etc. I don't plan to ride any crazy rides but I'm afraid all the walking and sitting will hurt. Not sure if anyone has any advice....we are now on the 4 day countdown. just annoyed with myself! Hoping in 4 days there will be improvement....flying should be interesting.

Walking and moving around may loosen up your sore muscles. I broke a rib two weeks prior to our last trip and was in considerable pain. I found that the more I stayed upright and moving, the less it hurt. The most pain I experienced (aside from coughing or sneezing) was trying to get comfortable enough to sleep. That's when I took the pain meds. I am also a big proponent of heat after the first few days, so I took my heating pad which helped me relax the areas that hurt.

I do hope you feel better, I really did a number and fell on my knee shortly before we left for our last trip. The best think I did was purchase one of those ice bags and ice my knee every night back at the resort as it was really swollen after a day of walking. Of course I was taking pain pills and that kept me going. So if you have one of those reusable ice bags or just go buy one, the are very flat to pack, you will be glad you have it if you need it.

Again, hope you feel better, nothing like a good fall to take some of the fun out of a great vacation.
