I'm so sorry you're feeling stressed about it all. Keep reminding yourself that whatever is meant to be, will be, and try to relax. I know it's easier said than done.

Any word back from the realtor yet?

    I'm caught up.

I'm sorry you are so stressed with the condo buying. Everything will work out the way it is supposed too.

No stress! If it's meant to happen it will, and if it doesn't it just means there is a better place out there for you. :grouphug:

Oh I am sorry you are so stressed. Your trip will be here before you know it. We didn't get the first house we wanted either. I know how you are feeling. At the time I was glad we didn't get it because it had been so stressful. Then about 1 year later we were able to get a brand new house in a much better location. It will all work out in the end.

Thank you for your kind words. I really do know that in my head, but my heart is all sorts of crazy. :lmao: I'll post a little update after all these responses.

Thanks for the hugs, hon. It's just not something I want to go through a lot. Thank God I don't have any OB appointments this week, I'm sure my blood pressure is through the roof!

    Thanks, you're right. :goodvibes

    Thank you!

I'm glad that worked out for you. It really is true that's what meant to be is meant to be.

    Too much.

My plate is full. Someone needs to eat some. :lmao:

The word is that I have no word.

They gave both buyers (as far as I know there's two of us) the opportunity to present their best offer. Then the seller decided to think about it overnight, so there was no word for me last night.

The thing that frustrates me is I ran a whole bunch of errands to keep myself occupied but after that, I was sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I had to call the realtor at 800pm to find out that I wouldn't find out until this morning.

Well, supposedly, who can say how long they'll take to decide.

I am just not enamored of this process even though I know this is how it is. There's a lot of reasons, but I don't want to go into them until after I have word. So, in theory, I'm supposed to have a yes or no answer this morning.

Last night, I called my mom and had a good cry. It is just too much stress for me, and I have decided (after discussing with DH as well) that if we do not get this condo, the search will stop. We will stay in our apartment, because we are happy here, and I will leave the stress of moving until well after the baby is born and we have adjusted to life as four instead of three. I just can't handle this level of stress right now, and I really don't have any other big stresses in my life, so this pretty much needs to be eliminated if I want to have a healthy pregnancy.

I got put on bed rest last time for high blood pressure, and was on it for three months, right up until I delivered my son. I really, really don't want to go that route this time if I can help it, and I attribute a lot of that to the stress of my job at the time (different job from now). Stress, whether real or perceived is a very powerful thing.

Speaking of work, I just found out about a potential scheduling change that I am very excited about. My bank is extending its hours, and it affects my schedule in a very positive way. The short story is that if my son gets AM kindergarten, it's highly possible that I will only need help with his care two days a week, not three, because one of my days during the week is turning into a three hour day, and hours are being added on Saturday.

I found this to be a blessing in disguise. It's sort of a relief because if we don't get the place, less running from here to my parents only two days a week, not three, is going to really help me out, so I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm hoping to get in a traditional update later. I apologize for muddling up this with all my real life stuff, but I can't even think about the trip right now, except that I am SO glad we are going. I need the break now more than ever. :thumbsup2

I think at some point all PTRs get "muddled up" with real life stuff; real life happens. You've seen mine today too, so please don't add that to your already overly taxed stress load!

I think you are very wise to stop the search if this doesn't happen. I was on bed rest too with 3 of my 5. It gets harder to do that with each one exponentially. You need to do what is good for your body and his/hers too.

I'm glad you have DHs support on this!

You need this vacation to keep you going, don't let something like stress ace you out of it!

Sometimes you just need a really good cry.

I hope that you find out earlier than later today so you don't have to stress over it all day.

That is exciting about your branch hours, that will help for sure!

TK -- sending prayers and pixie dust your way today. You said it before, if it's supposed to happen it will. But its the waiting that get's you, right?

And, if it helps at all, I was on bedrest with DD13 (same as you, about three months, for high blood pressure), then had no problems at all with DD9 or DD4. I guess that is common, to have it with their first pregnancy, then never again. So think positive!

Wow - I had a lot to catch up on!

Shocking that the weather forecast changed - NOT! Your plan sounds like a good one. I am so glad that you have this relaxing trip and break from life to look forward to.

House buying is stressful! We bought our second home in late September and it was not turnkey so the buying and the fixing up were very consuming. So consuming that I rarely was on the DIS there for awhile - :scared1:. It is worth it though in the long run if it is the right house. Your plan to buy and then sell and upgrade in several years is a good one and exactly what we did and it worked out very well. When we bought our first house, we made an offer on a different house that was not accepted - and I am so glad it wasn't. What was meant to be happened and will for you too. So to sum it up - I understand  and it sounds like you guys are making good decisions and plans.

As for the muddling up this PTR with real life stuff, I totally understand and get it and it is fine by me (and I am sure by all of us)! I actually was thinking about starting a PTR for a trip that may or may not happen just so I could have a place to "talk" to you guys about things in my life. :lmao:

I think when I got put on bed rest, since it was a modified bed rest, (and I was a lot younger then) I was a little naive about how serious it was. Now that I'm older I understand what it takes to have a healthy pregnancy and not just from the standpoint of taking your vitamins and eating right. Your mental health is key as well.

I have an awesome DH, I'm vey lucky.

I just need to pop out a trip update and get back on track.

I agree, a really good cry definitely helped.

I'll give you an update on the condo shortly.

I'm really excited about the potential change at work. I took that as a sign that things were looking up for me. :thumbsup2

I have faith, but I'm so not patient. :lmao:

Thank you for sharing that with me! It is so good to hear a positive experience, I really appreciate it. :goodvibes

Thanks so much! I will post about the condo soon.

    Thank you, hon.

    Thanks, me too.

I know! The weather in Florida changed, the nerve. :lmao:

I think one of the things that gets me about this place is that it's in our price range and it's turn key. Everything else we've seen that we can afford needed so much work, and even if it was cosmetic, it's still work.

Thanks! And ha on the PTR so you can chat. ;)

Alright, I know you all want to hear about the condo, so let's just get it out of the way. The latest "story" from the seller's realtor is that the seller is away on business, and he hasn't been able to present the offers yet. He will do so on Friday morning, when the seller returns.

Um, okay. Why this couldn't have been brought to my attention from the get go is beyond me. I'm really feeling messed around with. I really like my realtor, she is really pulling for me. When I talked to her last night, and we knew nothing, she was very supportive of the fact that I was stressed, pregnant, and couldn't take much more.

I calmly thanked her today for listening to me last night, and explained that I really needed an answer by tomorrow evening. I'm not willing to go through this for a whole weekend. Not. Going. To. Do. It. Uh-unh. So, hopefully, that will help spur a fire under someone's butt. I get that the seller was away, that doesn't bother me. I'm just hoping that he can make a decision in a timely fashion once he hears our offers. I mean, there are two. Pick one. Right? Ha, ha, ha.

Gosh, I'm getting cynical. This whole process is jading me a little. Anyway, onward.

I am totally unprepared for this trip right now. I did my weather check today just to get an idea.

Saturday, Jan 30 Times of clouds and sun Low: 47 High: 61
Sunday, Jan 31 More sunshine than clouds Low: 51 High: 67
Monday, Feb 1 Clouds and sun Low: 57 High: 74
Tuesday, Feb 2 Cloudy Low: 59 High: 74
Wednesday, Feb 3 Overcast with thunderstorms Low: 49 High: 78

Mom and I were talking earlier about wardrobe, and I convinced her to bring a heavier coat than what she was initially thinking. Just looking at that one low of 47, I mean it's higher than what we're having in New England right now, but if it's dark out and you get any kind of wind chill, we're going to need a heavier coat. Not a winter parka, mind you, but something substantial. And I definitely will be bringing gloves, just in case.

I'm thinking for wardrobe at this point, I'll be going with pants/jeans. I doubt that I'll bring any capris because our last day is our warmest, and I'll be coming home, so it wouldn't make sense to wear them on the plane.

For tops, I have some maternity tees, and some regular that I think I can still get away with. I prefer the underbelly maternity pants, so my concern with that is making sure my shirts are long enough that I'm not flashing the baby bump. Because although I think it's cute right now, no one else needs to see that. :lmao:

So, pants, tees, and a hoodie. I have a couple of maternity hoodies of different weights, and one non-maternity Tink hoodie that still fits because I buy oversized for comfort.

Mom and I are probably going to bring a tote bag into the parks, in addition to our purses, with our coats and items we may not want to carry around, and we'll get a locker for them. That way, during the warmth of the day we can be less encumbered, and at night, we'll be plenty warm. We may avoid getting a locker depending on the day and if we go back to our hotel. The Magic Kingdom day, we have afternoon tea at the Grand Flo, so we could just pick up our coats then and not have to worry. Savvy?

I still need to go trhough all my toiletries and see what needs to be replaced and this weekend I'm going to get down to the real nitty gritty and completely plan out my outfits. Normally I'm not so structured, but with the maternity clothes, I really have to plan out my week of what I'm wearing to work vs. what I'm packing.

Once I get these things, along with a solid packing list accomplished, I think I'll be feeling a little bit better and more excited again.

Right now, I just feel emotionally beaten down, and ready to throw in the towel. DH and I have even discussed rescinding our offer. I'm going to let it play out until tomorrow evening and then take it from there, but I'm not joking when I say that I can't take the stress. As much as I may love that condo, I love my sanity more. And I am not unhappy where we live, and Mom and I came up with a whole game plan for where everything will fit and how to streamline once the baby comes.

Either way, we'll be in good stead, I just want this to be over with soon so I can focus on the important things.

    Like Disney food. ;)

Hate to tell you this but your realtor dropped the ball when she didn't put a clause in the offer in repect to how much time the seller has to respond. That way the seller doesn't just collect offers for a week to see who had the highest.
Sounds like you need a good stiff drink....maybe a big ice cream sundae will do the trick!

Okay, so I was never a fan of Vera Bradley bags until I became a member of the DIS. After all the ravings about how comfortable, how stylish, how cute, I thought, okay, I'll bite. My first Vera was a Cargo Sling I got on Ebay, in the discontinued Mesa Red color. I fell in love, and it's pretty much been a downhill spiral ever since.

I've even gotten my mother hooked, which is saying something, because she didn't used to like them at all either.

Oh how we mighty have fallen. :lmao:

I won't even tell you how many various Veras were bestowed upon me for my 30th birthday.

    It was delightful.

So, on this trip, I'll be taking my faithful Blue Rhapsody hipster. I love cross body purses for vacations, and this one is just the right size for everything I need to carry in the parks. It worked great in September and I know it'll work great now.

Now, Mom and I went to a local store to check out two styles of Vera because eBags was having a sale on discontinued colors online, with free shipping as well.

    Poor Mom.

She got sucked in. Let me tell you, we were deliberating really heavily between two styles, but she ended up choosing the Morgan, and she fell in love with one of the new season colors. No more discounted discontinued colors for her, oh no! :lmao: It has a lot of interior slip pockets, something she really likes. Plus the styling is super cute. And the color, is SO my mom. She loves turqoise!

I have sold her on the comfort of these, compared to a heavier, structured Dooney and Bourke purse, and she is smitten.

So, I know I don't post pictures, but if you see a brunette with a baby bump carrying the Blue Rhapsody hipster, and a blonde with the turqoise Morgan, it's highly possible that it's me and Mom. ;)

You know what, you're totally right. And me, being new at this, didn't even think to stipulate that. Next time (when/if there is one, ha ha) I will know better. At the very least, this has been a very BIG learning experience for me.

A stiff drink would be awesome.

I will however, settle for the Skinny Cow ice cream bar I have in the freezer. ;)
