    Already said but:

    Gone With the Wind........my husband would rather stick forks in his eyes than watch anything made before 1980 but I love this thread.

    I have heard a lot of these movies referenced in other movies or in articles but have never gotten around to seeing them. Now I have a list so I'll have to see if I can find them on Netflix.

    yeah, I guess what are we considering the cut-off of "older" movies?

    I'm thinking mid 1970's or earlier

    BTW, another vote for "Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"...GREAT fun movie!

    My cutoff for "older movie" is whether it was made before I was born. If so, it is old. If not, I consider it "not so old".

    From the way this started, I'd guess the cutoff is somewhere around 1950 or before - or at the very least something that came out when most movies were still B&W ;)
