Since I enjoyed reading so many food reports and they were so helpful before they left, I figured I’d try writing one of my own. Only I’m not really a writer or very good with description, so this will be heavy on the photos and light on the words. :rotfl: I will do my best to describe everything and will be happy to answer any questions.

Cast
Me, 23 I like things plain- with no sauce on them. I like meat, potatoes, vegetables and fried onions. I don’t like spicy food. I wish that I ate more fish.

Mom -in her 50s. Likes rib-eye steak, potatoes, vegetables, & salads. She enjoys sauces and is willing to try new foods.

Dad- in his 50s. claims he could eat steak every night. Likes soups and bread and won’t eat anything with a sauce on it. He HATES cheese. He always finishes everything on his plate.

Lynn, 22. Probably the most willing to try new things. Like me she wants to eat more fish, but unlike me she will actually order it! :lmao:

Mike –17 likes seafood, meat, and dessert. Really he likes eating in general. ;) Doesn’t care for French fires. :upsidedow Mike is also willing to try new things.

Mary, 13. the baby of the family likes to play it safe when it comes to eating. She likes chicken fingers, ribs, steak, any type of potatoes, & ice cream. :butterfly

This trip was to celebrate my college graduation. :woohoo: I took care of all hotel, airfare, car reservations etc, but most importantly I choose where we would eat with a little help from my youngest sister and brother.

I choose to use the Disney Dining Plan because we eat a lot of steak and I also wanted to be able to try somethings that we normally wouldn’t eat if we were paying OOP. i.e I would have never ordered $11 crab cakes to try them if we weren’t on the plan.

I'll post my first review after I upload the photos!

We were all famished after a long day of air travel. We arrived at Spoodles about 15 minutes early for our 6:10 ADR and were seated with-in five minutes.
Spoodles has a great atmosphere, with high ceilings and lots of windows that give the room a great warm light as the sun sets.

Appetizers-
Dad- Lamb Kabobs Served with chick pea salad and harissa. My dad is not a big fan of sauces and I think he scraped most of the sauce off but he said that overall they were really good
6-4-07-103.jpg

My mom & I both had the Lemon Shrimp-Served with preserved lemon and parsley. We both liked this shrimp dish. The shrimp tasted great, very fresh. I’m not a huge fan of things that have a strong lemon flavor, but the lemon on this shrimp wasn’t over-powering
6-4-07-99.jpg

Lynn- Margherita Flatbread - Made with vine-ripened tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar reduction. She really liked it.
6-4-07-100.jpg

Mike-Calamari Served with olive-pepperocini relish. We are big fans of Calamari. We eat it in almost every restaurant we go to in our regular lives, and ate it every where it was available on this trip. This was very good. Probably the best of the trip. It was crispy and good and the breading was great. Everyone tried it and liked it.

Mary- Four Cheese Flatbread- Made with roasted garlic puree and sage. She thought that this was just okay. I tried it and thought the same thing.

Entrée
Dad- Tuscan-pressed Cornish Game Hen - Served with oven-roasted vegetable ragout and lemon-basil vinaigrette. He said it was good(though he will say this about everything he eats on the trip) It came with vegetables and some potatoes which he said was very good also.
6-4-07-113.jpg

My mother and I also had the same entrée- Oak-fired Steak Kababs - Served with multigrain pilaf, balsamic red onions, and harissa. We both got it with out the onions and harissa. The steak was very good and they give you a lot. I only ate half and shared the rest with the table.
6-4-07-108.jpg

Lynn-Lemon-Garlic Shrimp Linguine - Made with preserved lemons, Italian parsley, shaved garlic, and butter. She liked it a lot.
6-4-07-109.jpg

Mike- Wood-grilled Pork Chop - Served with white bean cassolet and tarragon-chive pistou. He thought these were “quite enjoyable”
6-4-07-112.jpg

Mary- Rigatoni - Made with mild Italian sausage, tomatoes, and portobello mushrooms. She thought that this was just okay. She ended up eating a lot of my steak
6-4-07-107.jpg

Desserts
Dad, Lynn, & Mary had the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee – they all thought it was great and ate the whole serving.
6-4-07-125.jpg

My mom had plain ice cream
6-4-07-122.jpg

Mike had the White Chocolate-Orange Cake - He really liked it and said it was “cool looking and tasted great too!”

I had the make your own sundae. the vanilla ice cream was very good & so were the sprinkles.

Great start - did you ask for the sauce for the Kebabs to be served on the side - or does it come like that anyway?

Awesome review of Spoodles Colleen, and wonderful pictures too! We have ADR's at Spoodles on Sept. 2. This is a restaurant we've never been to before so your review and pictures are very helpful. I was considering the rigatoni, but after seeing it and reading your review I think I may go for either the lemon-garlic shrimp linguine or the oak-fired steak kabobs. They both look delicious! Thank you so much!

great reviews.:thumbsup2 I can't wait to read more:surfweb:

Thanks for your great review and pics- looking forward to reading the rest!

Your pics are incredible. You definitely have a gift for photo taking:worship:. By any chance did you take up photography in school? What type of camera did you use?

Great start - Great pictures, can't wait for more!

Great review! We have Spoodles booked as our first meal too. I was very curious about the shrimp pasta and rigatoni, both sound yummy on the menu. Looks like the shrimp dish is a winner, the rigatoni didn't look as good. Thanks for posting those pics!

Can't wait for the rest!

We have reservations next month for Spoodles. I was thinking of cancelling after reading some negative reviews. I think we may keep them now. The pictures are great and the food looks delicious. Looking forward to more reviews. Thanks!:)
