Facebook Mafia Wars Questions - I need help!!!!!

Ok, I play Mafia Wars on Facebook and I'm getting "hurt", "robbed" and hitlisted all the time! I don't fight back as I am trying to "level up" and my "Mafia" is only 10 members including me which isn't big enough to do anything!

My questions are these:

1. How can I stop people from robbing me?

2. How can I get off the Hitlist?

3. How does one add more members to your Maria? Or does anyone here want to be part of my Mafia? I need more Mafia members I think.

Any help will be appreciated. I am becoming totally addicted but am tired of paying the hospital to "heal" me and give me my points back. Any help will be appreciated.

What level are you?

Are you sure you're getting hitlisted? Could it possibly be being attacked and your health is so low that it might take two attacks to "kill" you?

You can't help being put on a hitlist. Sometimes if someone repeatedly attacks you, you put them on the hitlist and they in turn either attack you again (repeatedly) or put you on the hitlist.

You do need a big mafia. I thought I was doing pretty good with 59 I think, my friend has something like 200+ and was getting attacked by someone lower rank than her but had the 500 member mafia. She said to "pimp" yourself out to the sites.

You can't help the robbing until you up your attack & defense and add more mafia members. I seems to all go hand in hand. Don't bother with the big buildings. Build up all the little ones. (I have 200 of each of them except the last three options). Another thing, don't heal yourself. If you health stays low, they cannot attack you.

What I do is get people (who I don't know) requesting friendships for MW. I accept and add them to mafia afterwards and then put them on ignore. I'm afraid that if I "unfriend" them I will lose them in MW. It's easier just to ignore.

You can set up a List in your Privacy Setting in FB and give the people you put in the Mafia list minimal information on your FB page.

I would suggest upping your attack and defense as well. That seems to help a little.

I forgot to add, don't repair the buildings. They won't rob them if they are already robbed. It's not like you can use the money for anything anway...just more buildings for them to rob.

Wait til you get higher, I like the cuban side better. I am still trying to finish out NY though.

You can also use your reward points to "buy" more mafia members. 20 points for 10 more family members. I haven't ventured into accepting strangers on my friends list so I am going to keep struggling with a small mafia. Maybe I will change my mind someday...

I second not repairing property right away. They can only rob you down to the 30% level and you will still generate income. If you are a lower level player just keep it at the 30% level until you are much stronger. You can also invest more heavily in Mafia Mikes and Rent Houses as they can't be robbed. Always buy in multiples of 10 so that you spend less money (price goes up with every purchase).

I am going to assume you are still a fairly low level and while it is tempting to put all your profile points into energy so you can do jobs, you really need to add them to your health, and at least defense. If you want to fight, you also need to add to attack and stamina. To better your odds, make sure you have good weapons and vehicles for everyone in your Mafia... 15 members, then you need 15 good weapons and vehicles.

Also, make sure you vault your collections. These give you boosts and now they are giving additional boosts for re-vaulting them. Hope these help.

Oh my gosh! YES it helps! I was healing myself every chance I got. Repairing buildings and protecting them every time they got hit. Now I am doing none of it.

Where did you stop on the list of buildings? And do you buy as many of them as you can? I have over $4M in the bank and can buy lots. I am currently level 20 and on level 2 of the second list of fights...the one where the last fight is the Dectective.

It sounds like I should ignore my health, forget fixing the properties buy more land and small buildings (commercial lots and buildings) and concentrate on "leveling up".

I don't have as many casino, hotel and office buildings.

And yep I have bought three sets of "hired thugs." I somehow only have 29 though. I know that the amount you can buy seem to vary by your level. It seemed like I got 10 the last two times I bought.

I would be more than glad to put you in my mafia and I can probably give you the names of a few of my buddies (the one I had the conversation with who told me to "pimp" myself out ). I know they are looking for mafia people. I will say that as far as I know, I've only added women on these sites. I already told my hubby, last thing I need is him going through my friend list and asking me who they are. It was just easier that way.

I can't figure out how to post the invite link without giving them permission to take over, which I hesitate to do. I'll pm you my name, probably easier that way. I'm a judy also.

I found it to be signing up for those mafia wars sites. I think I've gotten about 8-10 new mafia members from it without actively pushing myself, only getting the ones that are on there. I guess I'm not putting my info on their page but I am looking through their page for the people with "add me" to it and going from there.
