    Just read this on CNN.

BOSTON —Two explosions have been reported near the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street, and there are reports of injuries.

Crews were sent to 617 Boylston St. at about 2:30 p.m. Witnesses said several victims lost limbs, and the area was being evacuated.

Many of the injured appeared to be spectators who gathered for the 117th running of the race.

NewsCenter 5's Sean Kelly said the blasts happened across the street from the Lenox Hotel.

The victims were being taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

NewsCenter 5 and WCVB.com will have more information when it becomes available.

Yes, I am watching live footage on WBZ. There is footage of the two explosions at the end of the race. They are talking about people missing limbs, don't know about fatalities yet. Very scary.

Just got the news flash, they are reporting someone lost their legs. Pray that no one was killed and that other cities will not be targeted today.

Unbelievable. I just saw it come up online. I know quite a few people running it and am waiting to hear from them.

I really hope this turns out to be an accident of some sort and not something deliberate even though I think the later is more likely.

A few years ago there was a microwave near the finish line of the Pittsburgh marathon and it was mistaken for a bomb. When that happened I realized that these events are wide open and have big numbers so they make for an attractive target by the monsters in this world. As someone who does between 5 and 10 half or full marathons a year it is kind of scary and I hope that isn't what happened here.

I work a short distance away from there. The Director was supposed to go in that area for an appointment. The Dr office called to reschedule because it is gridlock.

Just saw footage and a guy was saying that there are windows blown out , body parts, and several dead bodies! It was not a official interview just news footage and this race organizer/worker was talking to another worker.

How awful. I really hope it was an accident rather than deliberate. :(

    I hope everyone is ok.

I have a number of friends who ran the race today - thankfully, they have checked-in, safe-and-sound. My thoughts are with those who aren't.
